If you have backup system disk you can use it, restart system booting from cd rom, and it will start. If not, then you might have to re-install windows and download all drivers.
You hard
drive is missing from the system. Or, just does not recognize it.
The
obvious - Remove any USB devices like drives and any media from disc player.
Its trying to load, but can't find bootable hard drive, CD, or USB...
Remove
the hard drive and reseat (reconnect). Check BIOS by pressing an F key during
boot. Look on the screen for correct Function key. Might be F2 key. Verify
BIOS recognizes the drive. It must be listed! There is no going forward if
it's not. Check boot order and make internal hard drive first. Save and
restart.
try looking into your hard drive to see whats the matter go to the setup menu and look at everything correctly try the disk again and it might work properly
In most acer laptops you can replace the hard drive from the bottom of the laptop, its under one of those covers that is hold closed with a few screws. inside one of them you will find the hard drive in its holder.
I'd reccomend backing up data and formatting your hard drive. Then install XP from disk and put data back on hard drive. You could use external hard drive or jumpdrive. It stands to reason that SATA works with XP, because the new computers I have seen have SATA and XP working conflict-free.
THe Problem is the windows read the HArd DISK as a CD/dvd Drive
becouse something change the format of the drive, now you have changa the format to NTFS again. To do that Go to computer management DISK MANAGEMENT and try to format the hard from ther. Or run CMD on CMD type FORMAT /F C:
C: REPREZENT your hard, you have to see the leter of that HD wich you will going to format in NTFS Instead of C: put the letter of the CD/DVD that will fix your problem
