Sony kdl 46w3000 - right side of screen dark and has trailing when there is motion. has been happening for a while use to go away after 5-10 minutes but now doesn't go away at all? TV is 4-5 years old off warranty. Have seen alot of mention on similar sony models, is there a recall or anything?

I was wondering if you were able to solve this issue. i am having the same exact issue with my tv. and i did not get an extended warranty thinking that nothing would go wrong with a sony tv. i learny my lesson the hard way. Can you please tell me what the tech told you or what you did to fix this problem. All your help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks once again!!!

That symptom may cause by the main board or t-con board, I suggest you do software up grade first.
