Parfumes smell different on different people because each individual had different natural smell and it alters the outcome. Changes in life, diet, taking medication will alter your natural smell as well and you may end up with a different smell even from the fragrance you have used before. Always try fragrance for at least 15 min on you skin before deciding if you like it or not.

Every person has different personal smell and that changes how fragrance react with the skin. You have to apply perfume without rubbing it into your skin, then wait 20 min and only at that time you will know if this fragrance for you or not.

Deodorants (abbreivated as DEO) are substances applied to the body to eliminate body odor caused by the bacterial breakdown of perspiration. A subgroup of deodorants, antiperspirants, prevent odor and reduce sweat produced by parts of the body. Antiperspirants are typically applied to the underarms, while deodorants may also be used on feet and other areas in the form of body sprays.
Perfume is a mixture of fragrant essential oils and aroma compounds, fixatives, and solvents used to give the human body, animals, objects, and living spaces a pleasant scent.

How to best know what a perfume smells like when you're buying perfumeq

When sampling different kinds of perfume one right after the other, in order to get the true smell of each one, bring with you a lemon wedge, and in between sniffs inhale the fragrance of the lemon. This "clears" your nose so that you get the true smell of each different fragrance.

How many fragrances can be tried without becoming numbed?

variety of different fragrance types is less fatiguing to the sense of smell. When perfumes are very different you can try five to six; when they are similar, only two to three. Heavier scents tire your nose more quickly so when sampling always begin with lighter scents.

Your own body chemistry affects how differerent notes react on your skin. Anything that affects the "natural" smell of your skin, such as stress, hormonal changes, your current diet or medications, might change how a perfume smells on you.
