Have a gas stove Frigidaire proofessional series..... no manual Came with the house. Just tried to do the self cleaning...... with in the first hour got an F30 Err message...... turned it off...... now door is locked and if I try anything else except clean. it wont work. If I push clean...... I get the error message back. Cannot open oven door. Any Suggestions? Is the oven still cleaning and should I turn off the electric to the stove?

Many of the self cleaning processes take up to 6 hours. The best suggestion I can give is to turn off the gas valve if you can safely access it and unplug the stove. Chances are the oven door will not open till it cools down for a couple hours.
Since the door is open and the lock is engaged, you will need to hold the "door closed" switch in located in the top left door opening. Push and hold the switch in, push the clean button, set the time at 3:00 hours, keep holding the switch in for 20 seconds, then push cancel button. The motorized locking mechanism should disengage. Then, you can release the switch. Hope this helps.
Yes you have to set the timer. If it is like my stove/oven you have to set the time to start and the time to complete. normal cleaning 3 hours heavy cleaning 4 hours light cleaning 2 hours.
hi, use a 2 hour self clean cycle for light soils and a 3 hour cycle for heavier soils. The kitchen area should be well ventilated using an open window, ventilation fan or exhaust hood during the 1st self clean cycle. This will help eliminate the normal odors associated with the 1st self clean cycle. when the controls are set, the oven door will lock and the “LOCK” indicator light will flash. DO NOT open the oven door while the light is flashing
