I have a latitude XT, and only the 5 and 6 numbers are working. I dont wanna hear, change your keyboard, because when I go in through administrator, everything is fine, only when I log on the default account on the welcome screen does this problem occur. Does anyone have a REAL fix for this?

It sounds like your default profile might have become corrupted. You can make a new profile and transfer your information to the new profile. But before doing that try scanning your computer for virus's amd malware infections.

If you do try the new profile and plan on transferring your information from one profile to another make sure that the old profile is not password locked. Or transfer the information through the Administrator login.

Best of luck...

When coming out of standby mode the keyboard gets locked in the control/ alt delete mode.

Do you mean that you see the press Ctl-Alt-Delete to continue ?
This is the Windows lock screen.
You can disable this by going in Control Pannel -> Power Options -> And select " Dont require password on wake up"

Digit 5 and top symbols on number keys does not work. in any field like address bar, run etc. number 5 appears in an uncontrolled manner. Please suggest a solution.

Hi,
there should have some issue with the keyboard. Mostly you need to replace the keyboard. Before that just try these steps.
Open RUN from start menu and type DEVMGMT.MSC, this will help you to open the device manager window. Now you can able to view the keyboards. Click on the + mark and down you can able to view the full name of the keyboard. Right click on that and select UN-INSTALL. After that you need to reboot the PC. Now you check whether there is any change or not.

Please let me know whether this works or not.

The administrator block the internet connection.. How to enable this connection? i cant change some of the settings and it always says "you dont have enough priveledge to change them. please contact your...

If you bought the computer as used then you definately need to do a system restore to put it in factory setting. Restart and hold down the F11 function key till you hear a beep. Then select system/factory restore and don't forget to backup your documents.

That does fix all your problem as you will become the sole administrator to make and change settings.
