Hello ognetpc, did you install 32-bit or 64-bit video drivers ? Example if you have windows 7 64-bit you must install 64-bit video driver, because nvidia 32-bit video driver will not work properly. I found latest drivers for you video card. Click save driver to your computer, install the driver, don't forget to restart the computer. Here is the link.

Copy and paste link into your browser and press enter.

For Windows 7, Vista 32-bit

It shows windows vista but it will still work since Vista drivers can be used if you don't have any available drivers for windows 7.

I can't get the Drivers or the nvidia control panels to identify the video card and then it freezes my computer and locks it up when i get the HDMI output to work. the DVI outputs sometimes work now....

New Nvidia drivers have recently been released, this may solve your problem.

1) Go to the Nvidia website and choose the following info from the boxes.

Product Type: GeForce
Product Series: GeForce 9 Series
Product: GeForce 9800GX2
Operating System: The Operating System that you intend on using with the card.
Language: English (US)

2) Then click Search.
It should come up with v260.99 drivers which are around 80.4MB.
3) Then click Download.
4) Once downloaded, install the drivers and try with the 9800GX2.

If all this fails then the lock-ups could be caused by system heat levels.
Go to CPUID and download their latest Hardware Monitor tool.

If the card reaches anything over 80 degrees celcius under load then you should be worried. I'd suggest making sure your case has adequate air flow and enough case fans.

If the card is not reaching 80 degrees celcius and it still locks up then you will need to try it on another system just incase the card itself is faulty.

Nvidia 7400 card dowsnt work with windows 7

Here is the link from where you can download NVIDIA 7400 driver for windows 7.

http://www.nvidia.com/object/geforce_notebook_winvista_win7_179.48_beta.html

Open the above link and Click on "Supported products", you will find your card listed there.

Download the file and installed it.Your graphic will work fine with Windows 7.

Your Notebook doesn't support windows 7 according to Sony. But if Windows 7 work fine with your Notebook then it's good. The graphic card which comes with your laptop is support by Windows 7 and the driver for that chipset is available and there should not be any problem with your graphic card.

Happy New year..

I've installed w7 for my acer aspire 4930 but still cant find any drivers for nvidia

Hi there. Currently, Acer do not have any graphic card driver support for Windows 7, the reason is that they have to wait for NVidia to program a driver for Windows 7, then Acer programmers will modify the driver for their products. NVidia are currently working on drivers for Windows 7, but they will be for actual NVidia cards, i.e AGP and PCI/E. Drivers for laptop intergrated graphics, normally run anywhere between 6 - 24 months behind the general manufacturer's release.

If you follow this link to Microsoft, it does explain the risks of running Windows 7 beta, including, printers, video cards and other hardware that may not work.
