The Sud (5ud) error code indicates a suds lock. This is normally caused by excessive detergent causing too much suds. It can also be caused by not using HE (High Efficiency) detergent. Overloading the washer can also cause this problem. Try running a cycle with no clothes and no detergent added. See if suds emerge in the washer even though no detergent was added.

We have a Samsung WF8604NGW front loading dimond 6kg washing machine. We had the 5ud error message.

It turned out the filter was clogged with fluff from a new set of bathroom mats my wife washed.

    To fix:

Put the machine on to drain (if poss) - should be 1 minute on our machine however as the machine was so clogged it took around 15 to finish.
Also use the draning tube located next to the filter (on our machine) to get rid of as much water as poss.

Now remove filter and clear (warning some water will remain in the system)

Before spinning any laundry run the rinse cycle (with an empty drum) a couple of times and clear the filter each time. If the filter is still clogged the laundry will spin heavy as the water will still be in the drum leaving you with no very dry laundry and a horrible noise during the spin.

    Regards

    Rik.

If they are hard water deposits, there is probably other parts coated with lime as well... try running a cycle with this in it- Ice Machine cleaner, it is safe on the plastic parts of an icemaker and meant to clean things that folks eat off of, so it rinses clean. I would use two bottles and then let it fill the rest on it's own...

After 2 yrs. the cold/cold selection doesn't work at all but the other selections give me hot h2o only. Also, rinse cycles just stopped working!

Your water inlet valve has 2 electric coils on it. One for hot --one for cold. The cold is probably bad. Most newer machines use COLD rinse only so if no cold fill it just stops in the rinse cycle. Replace the inlet valve which is the part on the machine back the hoses hook to.

When our was doing that, we found after the cycle stopped if you give the lid a little push down, it would start up again, the inside clip just wasn't connecting all the way :)

I was washing clothes -- in the rinse cycle and the washer just stopped -- I think right before it was to drain the water. I redistributed clothes, turned the knob until it was in the rinse cycle again...

It sounds like your lid switch is bad . Raise the lid , and insert something into the lid switch hole on the top ( where the lid actuator goes into the hole ) , to see if the washer drains . Without your complete model number , can't give you a part number .

Frigidaire front loading washer stopped at rinse cycle. 3 beeps

When in doubt check the easiest thing to check. The pump can cause a number of errors to come up. Since the unit stopped in rinse I would start but checking to make sure there is nothing obstructing the pump before going to the expensive parts.

when the machine gives the signal press the bottom right hand button for 5 seconds.
it will tell you to open the knob.
before you open the knob fill the water tank with the descaling solution
place a large water receptacle under the steam wand.
now turn your knob
the machine will start to descale this can take a while
when the descale cycle is finished close the knob.
rinse the water tank out with fresh water and fill it will clean drinking water.
Press the same button on the bottom right to confirm that yo are doing the rinse cycle.
open with knob and the machine will start the rinse cycle.
when the rinse cycle is complete close the knob and load the circuit.
when descaling is over fit a new cartridge filter in your water tank and off you go with your descaled cleaned coffee machine.
