Well i have a Sanyo J1 Xacti Digital camera and i lost the CD with the software to download the pictures from camera to Computer. Is there any site where i can get download it? Thanks

Try Sanyo.com - look for support button.

Most newer computers with newer operating systems will detect a camera/camcorder when connected to USB. Have you tried it without the disk?

I have an older Xacti that records to SD card. You can use a flash card reader to transfer files without Sanyo software.

I have an xacti VPC-CG9EX camera how do i get the films off it says i can't download my files as windows does not recognise the programme that created it. Still pictures are fine its just the video film we...

Buried in the Sanyo Xacti GC9 Users Manual is a description of how to download the software required. (Page 167 lists the steps to access the weblink stored in the camera.)

Here is Sanyo's Support Page for the CG9.

The shorter answer is that the videos are apple quicktime .MOV format, so you need to install free quicktime drivers from here to view them.

I have a sanyo vpc-t850 camera and looking for drivers to upload pic's to computer

The sanyo does not need any drivers, plug it in your computer with usb, turn camera on, select "PC" and press the SET button. now your camera will show up in my computer or computer as a removeable storage device and inside you will find the pictures.

I have the same camera so I know this is how its done.

Can't use VPC-CG9 as PC camera.

I don't know why this wouldn't work on Vista HP, but this excerpt from the manual suggests that your XP SP1 Pro would not work without the SP2 rollup:

"Please perform the following upgrades before connecting the camera to a computer.
-Upgrade Windows XP to SP2.
Install Windows XP SP2.
-Install Windows Messenger 5.0 or later version.
Download Windows Messenger 5.0 or later version, and install it.
-If using MSN Messenger, please install MSN Messenger 7.0 or later
version."

Perhaps if you are following the steps exactly in the manual and it still does not work, upgrading Messenger will magically help.
