Our Furnace doesnt seem to be working correct. We an: Air Pro BGM075128 and is Natural Gas. It will turn on when we turn up the thermostat.. but we never get any heat through the vents. There is a switch on the side that is "on" and one that is "fan". If we turn on the "fan" only cold air gets blown through. It looks like this is for cool air. So, if we leave the fan off and the "on" swith on, we get the furnace firing up, but no heat ever comes through the vents. I tested out the thermostat the best I could.. if I turn the thermostat all the way down, the furnace unit shuts off. If I crank it up, it fires up but again, we get no heat through our vents. Im not sure if the unit should feel warm or not when in use, but we don't feel any warmth coming off it at all. Thanks for your advise. Chris

Sounds like the blower motor is not working, if the furnace is actually lighting up and the burns are ignited. You should set your thermostat to auto, as if it is on fan then the fan runs all the time until you take it off of fan. I am a little confused and since I am not there I will give you a website that will walk you through the ignition process, this way we can eliminate flame sensor, ignitor, pressure switch, roll out switch, board, etc. I really hope this helps as I know what it is like to be in a cold house. Good Luck Tim

How to test White-Rodgers thermostat 1f56w-499?

I cannot remember which three or maybe two. but you can cross these wires to see if the unit kicks in. If it does then your thermostat is bad and needs to be replaced. Someone else may know or remember which ones to cross to do this.

Does thermostat have to be on Auto or On to make my heat come on?? Dont know if i have thermostat problem or Furnace problem. Furnace clix on whenever it wants to, doesnt use the schedule i have...

If the thermostat is wired correctly, and matched to the type of heat you have ie electric, heat pump, boiler, forced air, gas or oil, the heat should run in either Fan ON or AUTO. Maybe you can explain your system a little more in depth...furnace type, M#, & thermostat brand w/ M#.

Honeywell thermostat RTH6580WF heat is ok but a/c doesnt cool

Same problem here. Gas, hot air furnace with A/C. Fan works with heat, but not A/C. Furnace is old, and I had to move the G wire to C at the furnace, plus install a jumper from Y to G.

need to make sure there is a jumper between RC and RH if the red wire is connected to the RC terminal the heat wont work you will need a jumper wire to tie the RC and RC together with the red wire.

Coleman presidential II furnace blower on and off

Sounds like the flame sensor. But it could be the thermostat. Is the furnace standing pilot or electronic spark or hot surface ignition. I would start by checking thermostat. Turn power off to furnace take thermostat off wall and take wires marked r & w and connect them together. Turn power back on if furnace works then change out thermostat. Most eclectronic ignition Furnaces have a flam sensor, You could take flame sensor out and clean it up with steel wool or wire brush. If you need anymore help just reply back .
