I looked at the manual and found that the codes are not listed in the book. The only suggestion they have it to take the battery out and put it back it. Turn the power on and see what happens.
Sometimes plugging it into an electrical outlet if you have one for your camera can reset it as well.
If the error doesn't go away, you should contact Canon and see what the error code means.
This procedure is typical of all their cameras when an error code is displayed.
Canon is never good about releasing what the errors codes are without getting a service manual and those are though to get unless you are a dealer. Sometimes you can get lucky and Google a list a error codes from them but usually it only covers printers and copiers.
