Hi-

If your product is still within the warranty period from KOdak then you can call them up for some step by step troubleshooting to help you with your problem and as well they can replace the printer if defective.

Try this first

Calibrate your printer, then print a demo sheet.

  1. If paper is in the photo paper tray, remove it.
  2. Load photo paper into the photo tray.
    1. Fan the paper to keep the sheets from sticking together. IMPORTANT: Do not overload the photo tray.
    2. Load a maximum of 20 sheets into the photo tray, with the Kodak logo facing up.
    3. Engage the photo tray by pushing it in until it stops. my kodak easyshare5300 is printing black picture - p289_0006aa.jpg
  3. Calibrate your printer.
    1. Press Menu.
    2. Select Calibrate Printer, then press Start.
    3. Wait for your printer to print the calibration sheet.
    4. Place the calibration sheet face down on the scanner glass.
      • For the 5300 AiO printer, place the sheet on the front right corner of the scanner glass.
      • For the 5500 AiO printer, place the sheet on the left rear corner of the scanner glass.
    5. Press Start.
    6. Wait until "Calibration complete. Remove calibration page from scanner glass. Press OK to continue." appears on the LCD display.
    7. Remove the calibration sheet from the scanner glass, then press OK.
  4. Print a demo sheet.
    1. Disengage the photo tray by sliding it towards you until it stops. When the photo tray is disengaged, the main tray is active.
    2. Select Print Demo Page, then press Start.
    3. Wait for the demo sheet to print.

I have been trying to get my 5300 kodsk printer to

Try to print a picture in from the computer if it works then the printhead needs replacement (Call Kodak support).

If while printing picture still a black sheet is thrown out. Delete the Kodak printer icon from control panel > Printer and faxes . Restart the computer and re-connect the USB.

If these does'nt work try to COPY a pictue using only the printer, still u get a blank page try to install the ink cartridges and the printhead. Is still blank prints. The printer will be replaced

Kodak easyshare5300 printer won't print using word perfect progra

Greetings,
You should be able to use any Word Perfect program and print with it. It is a third party program to Kodak so it would be supported by Word Perfect. We have tested their software with our printer drivers and Home Center features and, as far as I know it all works fine. Have no fear of trying it.
I would consider checking with the software makers involved to learn more about any additional information they may have.
Talk to you soon.

Kodak 5300 all in one printer

Have you checked the ink level?
And does this happen only when you are tying to print a B&W only? Or if you print a color picture, does it print any black in the pictures?

5300 kodak printer

My solution was to dump the Kodak printer, and reinstall a 4 year old HP printer collecting desk in my house. WORKS GREAT! I fiddled around with the Kodak printer head and wiped/cleaned the insides, and it worked for a couple days. Then it started having the same problems again (see above.)
