hi try to make to do again firmware update, something went wrong on the previous update. the orange light is on becaouse the printer firmware is wrong, is in the upgrade mode.

1. First, if you plan to download signed games for OFW ( official firmware ) you can google it at www.emuparadise.org.
- What is signed games? It is the file can be downloaded from the web that works only in OFW
2. If you plan to use CFW ( custom firmware ) you can also browse that site above
- Make sure your PSP is hacked
- google it...

You can take it to your service providers store. ie Rogers/Bell etc and ask for a firmware update.They will do it for free and just like that your fixed should take 15 mins.good luck Ps. All frimware updates from your service provider are free.

I had one with the same firmware faults - in the end I had to return it as Daewoo had no plans to update the firmware. When I returned it it joined a huge pile of them in Currys.

according to maklean, may be it not be possible to upgrade firmware by ourselves. But, damnly it is not necessary to buy 3rd party flashers because it can be done by ourselves easily also.
Process for it is :
1) if u want to save ur data, then backup it 1st in ur MMC.
2) turn off the phone.
3) press and hold 3 buttons ( green dial button + * + 3 keypad ) at once and turn on the phone.
4) hold those buttons until formatting screen appears.
5) when it is completed, phone is to be restarted.
6) and my work is finished.
