My 4 year old HDTV picture no longer coming on- there is just white snow. originally thought it was connection to unit but checked that and still no picture .Could my video card have gone out??? Any help appreciated. Michelle(mother of little 4 y/o who is missing Diego/Dora-please help.

Age... Pure and simple. The backlighting and the display panel start to fail and the white is the first you start to notice, its probably not going to last a lot longer. Plasma tv's are nearly impossible to repair now days due to parts availability and service information, plasma tv's just went the way of the dodo bird, its all LCD now days. Ever time i get a plasma tv in for repair its generally headed for the recycling dumpster.

What happened when you selected HDTV is that you activated the output to the HDMI output. This turned off the regular connection. Press the power and reset button simultaneously when turning on the unit to return it to the factory default settings. Otherwise, you'll have to connect it to a HDTV with the optional cable to connect it (you'll have to purchase that as well) to go in and change the settings back.

I contacted Praktica Support and it seems that the camera is faulty and needs to be replaced. It was the white balance faulty.

Could it be vertical IC loose connection. It is sometimes connected with correct tuning. Check it for crack or wiggling connection best is to resolder.

lg plasma tv is not for a novice to play with. the three main circuit boards are control. y and z sustain and they are not repairable
find a shop that can replace the defective one for you.
