The range recently began to beep and displayed code F0. When power was shut off and then restored, it worked for awhile and then again beeped and displayed F0. I replaced the ERC and it worked for 2 days, then started beeping and displayed F0 again. Thoughts?

The F0 error code can be different depending on the brand and model range you have. The most common cause for this error is a shorted or stuck touchpad. This web site http://www.repairclinic.com/0078.asp has a listing of the error codes for many different manufacturers. Go to this website and find the manufacturer of your range and see what the F0 code is. If it is a stuck or shorted keypad error you could try disconnected the touchpad connector to the ERC for about a minute and see if that clears it up. This would require you to dis-assemble the back panel of the range and unplug the power before doing any service to the range. You could also check the touchpad buttons and see if any are stuck.
F0 - F1 - F7
Stuck keypad may mean relay is turned on.
Determine if problem is with the Key Panel or Control by: 1. Pushing CLEAR/OFF pad. 2. Disconnecting Ribbon Cable from control and waiting at least 32 seconds to see if Code recurs
If code recurs, problem is in the control. Replace control.
If code does not recur, problem is with the Key Panel.
