Why did my tines stopped working

Hello, Did you notice if the tines moved when you turned the belt pulley to install the new belt? If the tines do not move when you rotate the driven pulley by hand, the worm gear might be stripped. If the tines do move when you rotate the driven pulley by hand, the belt tensioner might not be working properly. It could be as simple as an adjustment.

What is blck powder under the motor of belt drive Maytag washer MAV4057AWW

The powder is belt wear. Not to worry though, they last a long time. There is always some wear on all belts as they slide into the channel on the pulley.

Motor runs but belts not moving, How do I fix this?

First, give it a good cleaning and oiling. It may need some grease on the gears. If the belt is still not moving, it could be too loose...stretched out. In that case you would need to replace it. This seems pretty complicated. If the cleaning and oiling don't work, take it in for service. You can download your manual here:http://www.imarksweb.net/book/kenmore+158+14100+manual/

Dryer not drying clothes

Hello, does the dryer drum turn? If the dryer drum is moving. Is the dryer blowing hot air, cold air, no air at all? Now, if it's doing everything mention above escept blowing hot air then you'll need a new heating element. If not blow air, then the drum belt is broken, belt off, or the drum motor has gone south. It was put for a quitt. Which mean in New Mexico, they fired me, I don't work, no job, finished, I'am out of here, don't bury me with my wires exposed. I hope I was some help to you. have a nice day and be safe, GB. stewbison

I have a heavy doty 70 series top load washer. The drum and agitator do not move and the motor is making alot of noise. What is most likely wrong

Older style Kenmore washers had a belt. This washer probably don't have no belt that drives the tub. It has a coupler to transfer the energy from the motor to the tranny. If yall washed a rug or comforter lately then I suspect the drive coupler might be broken:

Replacing the coupler is fairly easy. You need a set of screwdrivers and some pliers to repair this puppy. Flip up the controls so the case can be removed on these washers. You never work from behind on this washer. Once the case is off you yank the pump and motor off and remove what is left of the old drive coupling from the tranny and the motor. Don't jam the coupler on the motor or tranny too tight or you will have problems.

How do you replace the belt on a GE wwse5240g washer? The motor will not move without it being out of place to put the belt on. Does the pulley move?

Hi,

The easiest way to install a new belt for a GE washer of your model is like putting on a bike chain.

**First unplug the unit.**

Then remove the front panel if you haven`t already.

Now rap the belt around one side of the motor pulley then get it started on the drive pulley. Hold the belt in place while spinning the drive pulley (watch your finger`s the edges are sharp and when the belt slips on it`s very tight...pinching could occur) and the belt should slip in place. You don`t remove the motor or even loosen it, it`s not necessary.

Good luck

Spin and Agitate problem on GE Profile Prodigy WPSE4200A

This machine uses an electric water pump. I would check to motor. Remove the front panel and operate the machine to see if the motor is working. Check this by listening to the motor and watching the belt. If you hear the motor but the belt does'nt move then there may be a problem with the pulley or motor clutch assy.

As far as not draining or pumping water ? Check the wiring from the pump to the control panel. If these wires are alright then i suspect the pump.
