Try opening yahoo mail as mail.yahoo.com in your browser. It takes you to yahoo mail webpage then type your email id and password your mail will be open.

Just login to it, and you will see your Yahoo e-mail.

first in the address bar type in yahoomail.com >when u log in just type in ur user name> like if ur id is abc.yahoo.com> type in abc> then ur password> then login
suspend your Nortons each time you want to get into your mail and then reconnect when you send mail. Thats a suggestion but I imagine you must be using Outlook Express however you shouldnt be having any problems going direct to the sites.
