Alright I have unraveled the mystery. After trying all day I finally got ahold of someone with the company. The reason mine would not charge after leaving it on the charger all night long is because if the computer your swagger mp3 player is plugged into goes into power save, or when the screen goes black and it goes to "sleep" it interrupts the charge. You have to set your computer to stay on and make sure the mp3 player is in the on position. I tried it and it worked!! :) Happy now! :)

Most likely you have a full charge but the problem is FALSE Advertising! Swagger MP3 players only support MP3's downloaded from Amazon.com, any other MP3's will only play for a matter of seconds before shutting off. These players are a total rip off.

I received one as a gift and would like to return it. Where did it come from. Ive been searching and can not find any store that sells them.

  • Anonymous Dec 24, 2010

In Northeast US they are sold at JCPenny's.

That isn't true, an MP3 is an MP3 file.. downloading them from a certain source doesn't make a difference LOL.. however it does ONLY support MP3 files any other music file type will not work. I purchased two of these for my kids for Christmas and they work when they want to, I am tempted to return them as well.. not sure what the deal is with them.. my duaghter will turn it on and listen to it for like an hour.. then the next time she tries to turn it on it blinks but nothing plays.. then a few hours later it works just fine again..

My wife can only listen for about half an our, then it shuts off, if you play with it sometimes it will work long enough to play a 30 second clip and that's it. When I called tech support they said it only supports MP3's that are downloaded from Amazon.com. I tried it to see if they had some sort of tag attached to the MP3's but there is no difference. Tech support is joke and they say what the script in front of them says because they know they are just pieces of **** that will never work right and they don't want to give any money back.

  • nickispear Dec 28, 2010

I would call them on it! Tell them if they don't understand that you can't specify a specific type of MP3 file that comes from Amazon because an MP3 is an MP3 and if they don't understand that ask to speak to their supervisor and explain that they should not be working tech support if they believe that! LMAO.. thats like saying my computer will only run Windows if I purchased it from Best Buy and not Walmart! Get real!

My son also received one as a gift. I can't get it to do anything. It won't recongnize my computer, accept songs or nothing. I have tried and tried to find someone (retail) local to return it no such luck. Walmart refused it. Tech support called and they don't speak English well enough to understand me much less me understand them. Spent most of the call repeating and spelling out information that they ask for. Now have a very upset and disappointed child cause his Christmas present WON"T work. I am not to happy with it myself. Anyone know where I can return it in Oklahoma.

Same here! We downloaded 115 songs. They will play through our laptop, but not through the headphones. The blue LED light comes on and flashes when trying to change songs (but who knows if we are changing them if we can't hear them), but the red light won't come on at all. I can't even find it on the company website. I purchased it through Walmart, but can't find it there anymore. Of course, I threw away the paperwork, so I can't prove when and where I purchased it. We also have a Christmas present that won't work. Anyone know where I can return it in Kansas???

I just bought the swagger mp3 and it was alright at first. then the next day it ran out of battery. so i put it to charge. 4 hours passed and i tried it. it played for about 20 seconds and it shut off with a blinking red light. these things are rip-offs! and i only have about 11 songs on there! i shouldn't have bought it. if there is a way to fix this someone please post it

TO TURN YOUR SWAGGER ON:
1. put it on charge mode (connect to pc)
2. put on headphones.
3. turn it on!

Swagger mp3 player mod# 48384 won't load any songs. When plugged into the computer, the window comes on the screen, I click on the open a folder. I ripped the music from a cd, and put it in the folder. I...

The problem is that this is an "MP3 only player". Check the format of your audio files you ripping software is probably converting your CD's into MPEG-4 format, which I discovered will not play on this player.

I am currently searching for a patch from the company or looking for older ripping software for the MP3 format. My girls are waiting for me for fix rather than return the players they got from Grammy for Christmas.

Plug the USB cable they provided to a PC and hook the other end to the mp3 player. It takes about 4 hours to fully charge.

Sansa clip won't charge fully

If you have a phone charger with the same connector, plug in you Clip and leave it overnight. This will fully charge the battery. There is not enough power from the USB port.

Dell DJ battery does not hold the charge

I'm afraid I have bad news. Your battery has seen better days. A new one on Ebay is about $15 shipping included last time I looked.

Hello,

If your adding music to the device and its not playing, its because your audio files are not the correct format. This unit only plays MP3 audio or Uncopyrighted Windows Media Audio files. You can test this by connecting the MP3 player, copy one of the sampe audio files under 'My Music' location on your computer and paste it on your mp3 player. It will play the audio fine.

How to play: Hold in play button until red ligh is steady, then press Play again to start the audio.

Make sure you remove any audio file that is not the correct format.

to check format of song:

right click the song, go to properties, under properties it will say 'Type of File', make sure this says MP3, thats the safest way to go.
