Can I get this printer to operate with a Windows 7 PC?

You need to go to the printer manufacturer website and download the Windows 7 drivers for your printer.

My dear friend, observe computer peripherals compatibility. If you are telling that your printer is working on windows xp that means the printer designed only for windows xp but some printer right now is supported with different operating system. Anyway download a printer driver for windows 7 if it has and install the software first and plug the printer after installing the software. Have a nice day!

Hello - Have you actually tried installing the all in one printer? According to Microsoft "This product installs automatically without extra software."

If you have plugged it into your Windows 7 PC and it was recognized but is not working I suggest you remove the printer from Windows 7 ("Start menu" then "Device and Printers" then right click on the printer and select "Remove device."

Epson created Windows 7 drivers are available at their website HERE as are printer and software user manuals.

Uninstall the existing Lexmark X4270 printer driver from your Windows 7 by going the Start menu ? Programs ? Lexmark 4200 Series ? Tools ? Uninstall. Reboot pc when prompted. When pc turns on, check if your Windows 7 is running on 32-bit or 64-bit operating system by going to the Start menu ? right-click on Computer ? click on Properties. Take note of the system type.
Download and install the X4270 driver for Windows 7 using the links below:

In Windows 7 you are working w/ the windows drivers or the HP drivers?
Usually the native drivers are best than windows so try working w/ HP drivers

Hi, It seems that the you might have upgraded your computer to Windows 7 and you are not able to get your printer work. In this case you need to download printer's driver for the operating system that you are using that is Windows 7 64-bit. Download the driver from: http://www.epson.co.uk/Printers-and-All-In-Ones/Inkjet/Epson-Stylus-DX5000-all-in-one-printer/Drivers-Support
Once downloaded, install the printer using the new obtained driver. Hope the new driver would work on your computer. Moreover, you may change the USB port to which the printer is connected, meaning unplug the printer from the computer and re-connect it to different USB port of your computer and try to install printer.

Instal only one printer driver on the PC it is physically connected to. Preferably the Windows 7 PC (Latest OS). Unshare the printer, remove drivers from other PC's., then reboot al PC,s and re-share the printer. The PC's sharing should allow the Windows 7 PC to use it's driver, although they may request a disc for basic information about the printer.
