Hi, yesterday solved this problem in a PS 333, first, try pressing down the pitch variable resistance, if you see the speed down, you must disarm the resistance and make sure that the contact is at the center this really making contact with the base. Greetings from Chile!

My Sony PS LX 430 turntable will only revolve 3.5 times and the needle is set to high to make contact with the vinyl

The speed controls might be underneath the turntable base. Sometimes covered up with white stickers. On other models you have to remove the bottom side to get access to the PC board, where the controls can be found. On cheaper models the speed controls are on the motor itself.

PC

First, your pc5300 memory runs default at 6300Mhz, not 333. Perhaps your motherboard Front Side Bus line is 333 in which case the memory will drop to that speed, but if the FSB and memory match speed, then it would run at 6300. Since you have an older unit, I would suppose you are running only 333, and that is average speed for that config. In addition, you are only running 1 gig RAM, which is woefully inadequate for Windows 7, so everything you do is going to be slow.

Turntable runs at 45 spped when set to 33 1/3 and at 78 speed when set at 45 speed

This sounds like the belt, if it is a belt drive model, has slipped to the wrong position on the motor post. You should be able to set it back up right. As long as the belt is not worn out.
Any recordings at 45 can be converted to 78 using the software. There should be an option to do this. This applies to all other speed settings too. You can convert 33 to 45 etc using the same thing.

My Sony PS-LX250H Turntable suddenly started playing records too fast for both 33 and 45 speeds. Any ideas on how to fix???

If this is a belt drive then most of these speed increases are caused by the belt being in the wrong position. The belt could be faulty and my need to be replaced. Otherwise it could be due to a power supply problem, such as a faulty regulator to the supply of the motor. A check on the voltage to the motor will determine this. Assuming you know what the correct voltage should be! Of course with luck it will be higher than the motor is supposed to run at.

My laptop changes its speed...reduces its speed!!!

2.66 ghz. is much to hot a chip for any Laptop.
The reason, I,m sure you know is the cooing factor.
With a unit that high in speed and temp., you will need a support base with a cooling fan to keep the unit at a stable temp.
I have a HP that came with a AMD Turion 1.8 ghz dual core processor and changed mine to a 2.2 ghz.
Unit runs very fast but over heating is always a problem.
The support base I picked up was about $30.00USD
and I still have to keep my eye on the temp.
Hope this has helped.
P.S. You may want to stop at your local Radio Shack and get a can of compressed air and blow out the fan a grill section. all in one word VENTELATION

My Sony PS-LX250H is all of the sudden playing too slow with a 33

Not sure what made it happen all of a sudden, but you might want to check out Mocamom1 's question related to PS-LX250H speed & the attached solutions. You may just need to adjust the SW screw on the underside of the unit (worked for mine that was playing everything at 35 1/4!)

My psp suddenly goes into slow motion and take a long time to open any applicaztion

I think your CPU clock was low. Try to change it to 333 by pressing select menu and adjust the clock speed there.

Speed

The motor for the unit might be dying out. There really aren't any other factors that control the speed/rpm of these belt driven models. So if the belt didn't do the trick, you will have to take it to a service center to test the motor.
