I have an LG LMVH1750ST microwave convection oven. When I activate the fan for cooking purposes and then try to turn off, it does not respond. I have to pull electrical plug and reprogram for one minute. What should I do. Ths is very annoying. I puchased this in 2006 and have a four year warranty extension. Thank-you

From the owner's manual under OPERATION "VENT FAN":

"If the temperature from the range or cooktop below the oven gets too hot, the vent fan in the vent hood will automatically turn on at the 4-Speed setting to protect the oven. When this occurs, the VENT ON/OFF pad will not turn the fan off."

You should check your "vent fan auto time set" setting.

Here's one thing to try to set it to turn off after 10 minutes:

Touch the Vent ON/OFF pad, then touch the "5-SPEED VENT" pad until "level 4" appears in the display, then touch "AUTO TIME SET" the desired number of times.

won't sit peoperly if you dont
probably won't cook properly if you don't
the revolving plate does that same thing as a fan forced oven

What is convection cookong

A convection microwave is a combination of a standard microwave oven and a convection oven. It allows food cooked in the convection microwave to be cooked quickly, yet come out browned or crisped as in a convection oven. However, most cakes cannot be baked in a microwave oven - only those without an open grain structure, such as brownies. There are microwaves which contain electric browning baking elements. A true convection microwave has a high velocity forced air fan to circulate the hot air uniformly.

Try unplugging it for a couple minutes. This may let it reset. Just a guess.
