No problem. Is because the chain get streched. So open the side of the chain saw where there is the adjust bolt. The chain plate holder has a groove long enough to adjust the chain. But do not do it too tight. When adjusting try to test it without power, just by move the chain with hands.

After you install bar, chain, and brake cover(tightened)the chain wont turn.

Tighten the adjusting screw with the two nuts loose but snugon the middle of the chain on the top of the bar. Tighten the chain screw until the chain is loose enough to raise the chain up about 1/2 inch then tighten the mounting nuts tight. Then see if it is ok.

I have a new 455 rancher chainsaw husky 20inch bar chain keeps coming off new chain

You may have a bent bar, or you could be putting the chain on a little too loose. Perhaps the chain is not getting lube ?
Possible that the chain tentssioner and or adjustment is loosening up as you are using the unit. Other than that maybe a defective new blade ?

Ake 40 18s chain keeps coming off when in use

The only time I saw this was when the saw was run with the chain too loose. The chain should be snug al the way around the bar. If it is run loose for too long the chain will develop burs on the driver links. Now the driver link will not fit in the groove on the bar so the chain is tossed off. Replace with a new chain

The blade keeps slipping off after a couple of minutes of use, the tension is as required. Why does it keep coming off?

Hi luvmylife63.
If you have the proper tension on the chain against the bar and the chain is coming loose right away then you need to replace your chain and/or the bar for your chainsaw.

After you tension chain on bar are you making sure that bar retaing nuts are tight enough. On my saws I go to where nuts are very snug then go about 1/4 turn further. If your saw is new and you have the manual it will give you better instructions on how to adjust bar oil flow better than I can. Also if this does not solve your problem i would advise you return it to place of purchase for repair or replacement. Thank

Chain comes off mcculloch electramac em250 chain saw

Your chain is too loose or it is worn out. Adjust the tension on the chain. The chain should not hang away from the bar but should be loose enough that you can pull it away from the bar with not much effort. Adjust the tension until it is set correctly.

Chain keeps coming off Poulan 2150 woodsman gas chainsaw> Common causes?

The most likely cause is a loose chain.
Chain Adjustment
  1. Make sure the chain brake is off (gloves will protest your fingers).
  2. If necessary, loosen the bar nuts that are clamping the clutch cover in place (or whatever holds the clutch cover and bar on). They do not need these really loose - finger tight will do.
  3. Ease the tension adjustment until the chain is obviously loose.
  4. Using one hand, hold the nose of the bar up.
  5. While holding the nose up, adjust the tensioner so that the center of the chain just touches the underside of the bar, add a touch more.
  6. Continue holding the nose of the bar up & tighten up the bar nuts / bolts / quick-release system.

How to get Remington electric chainsaw M30016AS warrenty repair?

Good luck with MTD. They buy assets (various companies) but leave the liabilities (warranty) in the dust. As you should know, all those details are discussed in the agreements between the companies. If you really want to know and the both companies are publically traded, you could find the answer by reading all the small print public companies are required to disclose to share holders. Forget a legal remedy.

Is your bar (the thing the chain rides on) properly adjusted? When it is properly adjusted, the chain should ride freely on the bar but not hang away from the bar at any place. If you pull up on the chain, when you let go it should snap sharply back into the bar. Yet, it should move freely when you grab it with your GLOVED fingers.

Never work on a chain saw if the saw is (1) plugged in (2) the spark plug is connected. Chain saws don't care at all what they cut!
