Internet explorer wont let me view my yahool mail. can you assist please.

While Yahoo! Mail supports older versions of Internet Explorer, the company recommends that users upgrade to the most current version.

Enabling ActiveX

If you plan to use the current version of Yahoo! Mail on a Windows machine, you'll want to enable your computer's ActiveX controls so you can access all the features of the email program.

To do this, go to the "Tools" menu or the gear symbol in Internet Explorer, then select "Internet Options" and "Security."

Click on "Internet," then "Custom Level."
Scroll down to "Run ActiveX Controls and Plugins" and "Script ActiveX Controls Marked Safe for Scripting." Enable each of these options and save your settings.

Reboot Internet Explorer.

Hi, Your email are still safe. You can try logging on using Internet Explorer or Google Chrome.. If you are familiar in using Firefox. try to uninstall the program and re-install again. This should fix the issue. You can get the same version here

Browse to Yahoo Mail and use the Options drop down on the right side of the browser window:

Internet 8 would only display on computers with windows 7 operating systems.

If Internet Explorer suddenly closes when you view your mail

Re-install your internet explorer, if you are using a version lower than Internet Explorer 8 then I suggest you upgrade to 8. You can find the file at: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/internet-explorer/default.aspx

Please try to clear your cache/cookies and etc. Open your internet explorer and type the http://www.yahoo.com and enter your correct username and password.

Looks like you have no/slow internet connection. Check your internet connection first and then use faster browser like mozilla firefox and then go to yahoo mail classic. Hope this helps.

Click on the [Reset] button below the Reset Internet Explorer Settings b section.
Close Internet Explorer.
Remove all versions of JRE (Java Runtime Environment).
Install JRE 1.4.2_08
Open Internet Explorer and open the Yahoo mail page.
Hopefully you should now be able to compose new mails and view the existing emails.

Internet Explorer 8 has a "compatibility mode" that you can try to use in order to view the website as it was in Internet Explorer 7, so you might want to try that first before reinmstalling IE 7. There should be a "Compatibility View" toolbar button --- click that, reload the page and try again to see if that helps.
