Everything fails. Try and re seat the card and if it doesn't work try in a different port.

Examine your "Function"/"F" keys and look for a touchpad icon.

If you find one, hold the "Fn" key and press the touchpad icon button to unlock the touchpad.

Move on to Step 2 if your laptop doesn't support this feature.

Plug a USB mouse into an open port on your laptop. Click the Windows "Start" button.

Click "Control Panel" in Windows XP and double-click "Device Manager." Type "Device" in the search box in Vista and Windows 7 and click "Device Manager" from the results.

Click "+" next to "Mice and other pointing devices." Right-click the touchpad and select "Enable."

Your touchpad is now unlocked.

It will turn your 1 remaining USB port into many.

Seems that your laptop's USB ports are not providing enough power to the cooling pad. This could be due to you connecting too many USB peripherals to your laptop. Test if you can get the cooling pad to work by disconnecting all other USB devices.
As a permanent fix, you can buy an active USB hub (one powered by external power source) & connect your cooling pad to it.

First make sure that the USB cable is OK and use another if you have one. Then make sure that the laptops have working USB ports from Device Manager. If they are OK then try powering up the Canon again without the USB cable connected to see if any errors are reported and then plug it in to your laptop to see if it is recognised. Check the status of the Canon Print Driver settings. If this all fails then you may have defective USB ports on the Canon and will need to get them repaired.

I'd suggest updating the NIC driver in Device Manager. But, the message "A Cable is Unplugged" tells me that the NIC port, the CAT5, or the port where is is connected to your modem/router may be faulty. Try moving the cable to a different port on your modem/router, first. Then, try another CAT5. If still a problem, the NIC port is probably faulty. Hope this helps.

connect your mouse. then restart your laptop do not remove mouse while restarting laptop. if not work after restart there is a problem in your mouse IC.

boot to the bios (system setup).. locate serial port there and make sure it is turned on

What speed is the USB port on your laptop? Is it 2.0? or 1.0?
