This is a common question on this site. Amps of all types have protection circuits to keep them from doing a self meltdown. Testing follows this logic. 1. Remove all speaker wires. 2. Keep the volume down - all the way. 3. Turn the unit on. 4. If it does not trip off, then there is a problem either in a speaker or the wiring. a. Reconnect one at a time until/unless it trips off b. That will tell you where to look further.
If it does trip off, then there is an internal circuit issue in the amp and probably requires professional help to fix.

Ac compressor runs 5 min shuts off then restarts 10 minutes later for another 5 min fan runs ok

Shutting down on safety. It's likely a pressure switch, possibly low pressure if fan is running.

Why is my air conditioner unit only running properly on cool days? when its hot out it only runs about 5 mins at a time then shuts off to fan and dont come back on for another 20 mins.

Do you hear a click sound as the compressor shuts down? If so that is the clixon (heat sensitive circuit breaker) that is opening and shutting down the compressor when it overheats. You have not had the AC filled with refrigerant so overfilling the unit cannot be an issue.
And if it is not overfilled overheating is caused by excessive current going into the motor which could indicate a problem with the motor windings..

OR, If the thermostat is faulty it could be prematurely shutting down the compressor. If you jump (bypass) the therm and unit does not shut off then you have found the culprit.

Stops after 4 mins

Can you hear the "whirl" of the fan? It is possible the fan is not turning & cooling the oven therefore it will shut down when it reaches a certain temperature. This could be caused by a supply fault to the fan or the fan motor, either way it would need to be tested by a qulified engineer.

My yamaha rx-v795a works fine but the display is showing jibberish. What is causing this problem?

There is a Microprocessor(computer) that controls the display. This Micro can be bad, the display can be bad, the connections between the two, as well. For more information, please visit my website at audioserviceclinic.com. Thank you.

It turns on and shuts off.

For my YAMAHA RX-V795a, Replaced the relay DG1U, which is controlled by the on/off button. Because the switching contacts in the relay were burned in. (Relay of which you hear the click when you switch on or off)
And everything works again. But replacing it is a bit of work...

You have to, after opening the case, among other things, loosen the screws of the main transformer and some more things, to be able to turn over the PCB on which the relay sits, to loosen the 4 solder points of the relay.
The relay is Type DG1U, 12VDC coil , switching contacts 8A 250V AC and is a Chinese brand DEC.
They are sold by Aliexpress, among others.

It blows cold air for 5 min. and the it blows cool air for 15 min. the room warms up . Why does it stops blowing cold air continuasly???? The thermostat was disconectet on purpose so it coul clow cold air...

See if you can reposition the thermister on the facing of the evaporator coils. That could be it or the thermister might be bad. They don't use copper/mercury sensing bulbs these days. They use these cheap thermisters.

Boots up windows runs for 5 mins then system shuts

You may have a cooling problem (with older computers), if you hear your fan running excessively and then it shuts down on you. Otherwise it is more likely a hard drive issue.

Cooling fan in reciever noise.

Its necessary to run cooling fan because Amplifiers in home theater system produce heat during its operation. If you shut down cooling fan, Amplifier ICs may be damaged due to over heat.

Won't stay powered on

There is a relay right next to the fuses on the inside dg1u it says on the top. I cleaned it and pressed down firmly on it and it seem to have fixed it. It fired up for the first time.. The relay might need to be replaced if this doesnt work for ya.
