I think my work blocked my Yahoo msgr sign in. I sign in, click sign in, then what I just typed (name/pswd) goes blank. How do I remove whatever they installed?

had been having the same problem. Went to yahoo customer care, Tecs didn't help! As a last ditch effort I removed all yahoo messenger and browser programs and re-installed the 8.1 messenger, and, viola, It worked. make sure all firewalls and programs are turned off or it won't work.

for this, you may want to uninstall and download another yahoo msgr for your machine since it might have been corrupted and cannot connect to their webserver.

it happened to me several times and re-installing the program worked it out for me.

also, other than yahoo msgr, you may want to try "skype" msgr for its much stable than yahoo msgr...

Uninstall completely your yahoo messenger. after uninstall clean your registry for errors

1. simply Go to Start > Run and type “regedit” on the box

1. Navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER > Software > Yahoo
2. Right click the Yahoo folder and DELETE Yahoo Folder
3. Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > Software > Yahoo
4. Right click the Yahoo folder and DELETE Yahoo Folder

2. Reinstall the Yahoo Messenger.

When you close the prog.that is it ,you just closed it .and you have to find the soln,you might want to try DIAGNOSE THE PROBLEM,it might help you or suggest to you what to do,or gives you an error msg you can work with,or go to microsoft.com/error messages/help,and see what you can do.THE REASON for all that could be your msgr version is not compatible with the operating system on that computer while it works fine on others.SO YOU EITHER UPGRADE THE O.S,orDOWNGRADE THE MSGR VERSION.Also make sure that o.s.and or antivirus firewalls are not blocking it,and allow it.Could be slow connection,or slow connection to msgr or msn,make sure nothing running in background such as antivirus scanning,or live sreaming or video,while running msgr.And it would not hurt to scan your computer to get rid of any junk before you even srart troouble shooting.Start with easy solns first.good luck.

Open Internet explorer and www.mail.yahoo.com
Check by sign in to you account
> Step 3: Test Your Access to Secure Pages
Make sure that you can access secure pages from Internet Explorer
Try to sign in to Yahoo! by going to the Yahoo! sign in page and enter the same Yahoo! ID and password you were using before.
> Step 4: Verify Credentials
Verify that the same Yahoo! ID and password you used before in the last step also works in the online version of Messenger, Yahoo! Messenger for the Web:

enter the same Yahoo! ID and password you were using before.
> Step 5: Check Connection Settings
Click the Messenger menu and select Connection Preferences.
Click Connect directly to the Internet, and then click OK.

Check by Changing the connection type to a connection via a proxy server:
Click the Messenger menu and select Connection Preferences.
Click Connect via a proxy server, then under this option, select HTTP proxy, and then click OK.


Last is Uninstall all the Yahoo Tool Bars and Yahoo applications , Yahoo Messenger, and Yahoo Updates from Program list i.e Control panel - Add/Rem Programs ..
And reinstall the Yahoo Messenger again -

Please open you explorer and type http://www.yahoo.com/r/m6 type your user ID and password and click Sign in....the same page will open again on reply.....Now type your user ID and password correctly as well as captcha words as shown exactly in image box....and press sign in...if you have any dificulty still please follow as image below....

Actually someone has tried to sign in to ur id with wrong passwords several times, so yahoo has blocked ur id for security purposes. u can simply unlock ur id.ur sign in to messenger is locked but u can acess ur mail. sign in to ur mail and go it to ur account details. change ur password. if u wanna keep these password then change password once and then change them to current password. ur id is now unlock.

With the i-touch - goto - Settings - Wifi - select your network name - type the pswd

To get ur W/l info,:

with the wired computer,

open the browser - type 192.168.2.1

left hand side under w/l - security - leave pswd blank

check the security pswd (if needed uncheck obscure PSK)

you will need to log onto a user with administrative properties then get into the firewall that is blocking access to these programs from the internet and allow them full access.
