Bushnell Trail Sentry 11-9200 Digital Camera Logo

I just bought a Tasco Digital Trail Camera - 119223C . During the setup my camera display also shows Loc and the SD Card flashes. The instruction manual does not reference this setup code. Does anyone know what 'Loc' means?

on the outer edge of the SD card( I found out the hard way ) is a slide lock/right protector lock that prevents accidentally erasing it. Mine was accidentally switched on.. not to sure if all SD cards have this, but I am willing to bet they do...

I just bought, last August, a Tasco Digital Trail Camera - 119223C . Took pictures until Jaunary 2011, my camera display shows Loc and the SD Card flashes. The instruction manual does not reference this setup code. Does anyone know what 'Loc' means? I tried to reformat card, I also so not get a Y/N option for formatting. I bought a new card and changed batteries. no change!

This happened to me too a couple of times. The problem is that your card does not have a good contact. What you can try is turn the camera off and push on the card just like you want to remove it except this time just keep pushing it about 10-15 times and hopefully this will clean the contacts. It worked for me.

My Tasco digital trail cam model 119223C wont power on. It always says OFF when I push the power button. I have replaced the SD card and fresh batteries with no luck. Can anyone help me out?

If your Tasco digital trail camera is not powering on and only displays "OFF" when you press the power button, despite replacing the batteries and SD card, there are a few additional troubleshooting steps you can take:
1. **Check Battery Orientation:**
Ensure that the batteries are inserted correctly with the correct polarity. The camera won't power on if the batteries are inserted improperly.
2. **Battery Contacts and Compartment:**
Inspect the battery compartment for any signs of corrosion or damage. Clean the battery contacts and the inside of the compartment using a clean, dry cloth or a cotton swab.
3. **Test with Known Good Batteries:**
Sometimes, even new batteries can be defective. Try using a different set of known good batteries to eliminate the possibility of faulty power sources.
4. **External Power Source:**
Some trail cameras can also be powered using an external power source or a compatible external battery pack. Check if your model supports this option and try using an external power source.
5. **Reset to Default Settings:**
Look for a reset button or procedure in the camera's manual. Resetting the camera to its default settings might help if there's a software issue causing the problem.
6. **Check for Firmware Updates:**
Check the manufacturer's website for any available firmware updates for your specific camera model. Updating the firmware can sometimes resolve software-related issues.
7. **Inspect for Physical Damage:**
Carefully inspect the camera for any signs of physical damage or water ingress. Ensure that all compartments, seals, and openings are properly closed and sealed.
8. **Contact Tasco Support:**
If none of the above steps resolves the issue, it's advisable to contact Tasco customer support or consult the camera's manual for specific troubleshooting steps. They may be able to provide additional guidance or recommend further actions.
If your trail camera is still under warranty, consider reaching out to Tasco's customer support for assistance. If not, and the issue persists, you might need to consult with a professional camera repair service for a more in-depth diagnosis and potential repairs.

Why did my Tasco 119274cw camera stop taking pictures at night?

I found this, but perhaps there is no activity at night. Check it at 1:00am, the LEDs should glow.

Camera stops taking images or won't take images
  • Please make sure that the SD card is not full. If the card is full (display indicates "FULL", the camera will stop taking images.
  • Check the batteries to make sure that they are new alkaline or lithium AA batteries. See note above about short battery life.
  • Make sure that the Power/Mode Switch is in the ON position and not set to OFF or AIM.
  • Make sure that you are using a good quality SD card in your camera. Tasco recommends SanDisk® SD Cards up to 32GB.
  • If the SD card has its write protect switch in the lock position, the camera will not take images.
  • If you have used an SD card in another device before inserting it in your Tasco Trail Camera, you might want to try formatting the card using the "Format" option in Setup Mode (pg. 8). Make sure you have backed up any important files first, as formatting will erase all previous files. In some cases, other devices may change the formatting of the SD card so that it will not work properly with the Tasco Trail Camera.

My moultrie trail game camera d-40 will not store pictures on memory card. I have tried multiple memory cards. The card I have been using is not very old and has worked fine until now. Camera is showing...

Is the small switch on the side of the SD card pushed up toward contacts? Has the card been formatted by a PC(A NO-NO)?
Remove card;turn camera on..go to setup; press up arrow once to get "DELETE ALL IMAGES NO?";press select button to get flashing "NO"; press up or down button once to change flashing NO to flashing YES; press select once...should get "DONE";press select until back in "SETUP...Turn camera off insert SD card and try again...may need new SD card.

I just bought a tasco trail camera. I set it up by the manual that came with it. It will take a couple of pictures and then it seems to shut off. If I take the batterys out and reinstall them it will work...

Hi.

Are the batteries fully charged? It is recommended that you fully charge the batteries first before you use the camera as the camera can literally eat batteries.

If you have fully charged the batteries and the camera still only allows you to take a few shots then I suggest that you take/send the camera back and have it replaced.

Regards.
