Hi-

When you said line feed do you mean the Top of form?

hope this helps

1. Make sure the printer is turned on and the desired tractor is selected (the corresponding tractor arrow should be lit).
2. Open the upper cover.
3. Press the Top of Form button to enter top-of-form mode. The printer beeps once, and the Top of Form light turns on.
4. Use the Micro Feed buttons to feed the paper to the desired top-of-form position. The “A” on the ribbon protector shows you where the bottom edge of your first line of text will print. This position is based on the first printable line of text. If your software inserts a top margin of five lines, your text will actually print five lines below the top-of-form position.
5. Press the Top of Form button again to exit and save your new top-of-form position. Then close the top cover.

Keep me posted if you have inquiries, thanks!

Epson R300 printer not loading paper.

1. Turn the printer off and open the access cover.
2. Look for any obstructions in the paper path and remove them if necessary. (It is possible to move the carrier assembly with the power off.)
3. Turn the printer on, load some paper, and press the Form Feed button.
4. Watch the paper as it feeds through and try to determine where the jam is occurring.
5. Check to see if all the rollers are turning.

If all the rollers are turning, there may be something in the feed path that you can't see. Go to step 6.
If not, there is probably a feed motor or a gear problem and the printer may require service.
6. If the paper is jamming under the carrier assembly, you may be able to fix it using the manual feed slot.
7. Turn the printer off.
8. Take a #10 envelope and feed it through the left side of the manual feed slot until it comes right through the printer to the back of the exit rollers.
9. Move it up and down first, and then slowly move it over to the right side. If something is stuck under the black guide plate, this may work it loose.

Alpha seting of dfx 8000 printer

The purpose of this adjustment is to set the PG offset value in accordance with the nose dimension
of the printhead. (For details, refer to Chapter 2.)
The offset for the nose dimension is represented by the adjustment value “ALPHA.” The “ALPHA” value
is stored in the memory on the main board, so the PG adjustment mechanism can read the value as
needed. Be sure to perform the adjustment when required. If this adjustment is not performed correctly,
the platen gap will be incorrect, the paper could be caught by a head pin, or, in the worst case, a head
pin could break.
NOTE: The printhead adjustment value is written on the front of the head unit (refer to Figure 4-2). After
the printhead is attached, the value cannot be seen. Be sure to write down the value before
attaching the printhead.
Step 1: Connect the AC cable. Mount the ribbon cassette, and load paper into the front tractor.
Step 2: Turn the printer power on while pressing the LINE FEED, MICRO FEED (V), and PAPER SELECT
switches (Be sure that the top cover is closed. Do not open it until you turn the printer power
off.), then wait until the buzzer rings five times.

front of the printhead.
l The buzzer rings each time the MICRO FEED switch is pressed.
l Press the MICRO FEED (A) switch to increment the value.
l Press the MICRO FEED (V) switch to decrement the value.
l The value range is O to 10.
To confirm the value stored, press the FORM FEED switch so that the value is printed.
l If the value is incorrect, return to Step 5.
. When the value is correct, go to Step 7.
Step 7: Press the ON LINE switch and confirm that the buzzer rings five times. The printer prints the
final value stored. If the value is correct, turn the printer power off.
