When I try to print I get the message that the printer is off line.

sounds like the drum is faulty.

switch off the printer and then try again

if this fails then check to make sure you havent changed the print regions on the program which youa re typing ie ms office?

if the computer says printer off line then they are not comunicating try to reload driver

this sounds like, for this model, more like an os issue....try to remove and then reinstall the printer...

Try turning the power off and then back on after a few seconds.  If that does not work go to the Printer Control Panel or Printer Utility file and see if it needs to be set up again.  There may be a selection there to bring it back on line.

could you check your settings please.

start, control panel, Printers, right click your printer, check it's online here,

or, double click your printer, when grey box appears, go to documents tab, check it's set as your default printer,
Cancel any jobs,
try to print now
or reboot and try printing again.

Hi, there is a possibility that the printer is set off-line or there is a pending print job that was stucked in queue. To check that please go to printer & faxes, right click on the printer icon (your printer), cancel all documents and click yes. Then right click again on the printer icon then select use printer on line. Try printing. If issue still present, restart prinrt spooler services. To access print spooler, goto control panel then administrative tools then select services. Scroll down the vertical scroll bar until select print spooler. Open it then click on stop then start. Try printing again.
