Kvfq75u 32inch trinitron,just moved into new flat the tv there wont switch on its red light comes on but when you try to start it up with remote or on the tv itself the red light flashes then goes off then flashes back on again but no picture??

It was 5 blinks
The flashing should be a repeated number of blinks. Please post that count as that will indicate the circuit in which the set detected a problem. The set is in protective shutdown. Using hte blink count, we can determine the possible problem and solutions.

My tv has the same problem. It's 24 blinks, and on the 25th blink it stays red/lit. What can i do?
Blinks 7 times, sometimes 4 times
I have a Sony Trinitr'on that has the red light blink when I attempt turning it on; the problem is the picture doesn't come on. I never had a problem with the tv before. No warning signs of problems. I do have a 3 year old son who may have touched buttons..who knows since I was in the kitchen cooking at the time and didn't see him near it.
