Jumper w1 and w2 at both tstat and ahu. That wire (white) should land on w2 outside.

SOURCE: LOW VOLTAGE WIRING CONNECTIONS BETWEEN

Hi!!
The Rite Temp thermostat can be wired many in ways according to your unit's needs, I would like to send you an installation guide showing the different configurations, then you tell me which and how many wires come from the heat pump and we go from there. For this I need an email address to send it to. Thanks

SOURCE: LOW VOLTAGE WIRING CONNECTIONS BETWEEN

I guess you have not had the satisfactory answer you has been seeking since I been seeing this question all day.It is not surprising.
What you have is a heat pump.
It uses a compressor to heat and cool
This isnot an ordinary system. the unit uses a solenoid to reverse the flow of freon and needs a defrost mode, plus it requires backup heat. AND all of the wiring config ain't the same my nizzle.
This is just my take on it from what i know. I sold thermostats before i retired. heat pumps need specialty thermostats to not only cover the reversing valve but the back up heat and defrost features as well. that is why you only use the recommended wall thermostat for a designed heat pump. I thank you.

I have a 1.5 ton air handler unit that keeps freezing. Ive blown the lines cleaned thw coils and replaced the filter.

If you have done all this then you need to have a tech come and top of the refrigerant, and if he doesn't see a leak, but you have a slow leak that happens over time it will freeze again.

Low level will cause the handler to freeze with other conditions, but it appears you have covered the rest.

Find out why you needed to wet vac the water.. It should drain overboard. Check for a plugged drain.

Is there a system mismatch with an American Standard 13 seer 3 ton compressor and a Nordyne 3.5 ton air handler? Noise at TRV when heating.

This must be a heat pump? Sometimes the unit can be more efficient with this combonation. What you are probably hearing is the reverse direction of the
refrigerant going back through the liquid line.

If in cooling sometimes you can hear a gurgling sound going through the expansion valve, sometimes
this is a sign of low refrigerant or the system is fine..

If you recently had the outdoor unit replaced and noise is an issue, check to see if the unit has isolation pads installed underneath the unit whether
it be on concrete slab or on brackets mounted to
house. Sometimes the new units come with compressor that has a jacket installed over it

3 amp fuse blows after three hours on Goodman 4 ton 16 seer pump

I would suspect you have a problem in the defrost circuit of your heat pump. there are a couple of things you can try. first just run the system on emergency heat and see what happens. you could have a defrost board that is shorting when it kicks into defrost. it sends a signal back to the furnace so it will come on during defrost. if you do not blow a fuse as long as you are running in emergency heat, i would suspect the defrost control board. also you could have a dead short in the wire that runs from the "w" terminal on furnace control board, out to the heat pump. keep in mind that any of the wires could be the cause and i am just tying to give you the most common things. your furnace will still run if you unhook all the low voltage wiring out at the heat pump. if you do this and stop blowing fuses. you know it is something on that wiring. goodl luck.

1997 Amana 2 or 2.5 ton heat pump, 13 seer - air handler only blows 4-5 min

do you have a totaline t-stat. they and some other brands have a fan recirculation setting in the installers menu.

this is assuming that this happens in addition to the heating or cooling normally
