I have a panisonic pt-lb50ntu Projector. It will only focus the center of the image. When you adjust the focus to the bottom of the image the top and center are out of fucus. The same goes for focusing on the top.

You could adjust the resolution on your laptop to match the projector, before you start your presentation.

This projector has a very short throw distance of approx. 7 1/2 feet to 9 1/2 feet. Anything over or under that distance will be out of focus.

The Panasonic projector PT-LB50NTU or E have two type of data inputs.
One is RGB or VGA cable and second is VIDEO cable. If your IMAC have video or vga output than you can connect.

I'm afraid, no remote option available to focus image of this projector and has to do manually. Check projector Menu and select Test Pattern for optimum focus and it would be one time job if projector and screen distance has not been changed.

I'm not sure about the advice regarding "color management" as it has nothing to do with focus.

User manual link is also broken and take you no where.

DIRECTLY BEHIND THE FOCUS DIAL IS A SERRATED COLLAR TO ADJUST ZOOM SETTING TURN LEFT AND/OR RIGHT THEN REFOCUS

The orientation of your projector can be setup from the "Option" menu. You may need to select the "FRONT" and "CEILING" options to display the correct orientation of the image.

The unfortunate thing is that you cannot reset the password on this Projector externally. You will have to take it to a Panasonic repairer becausethey use software to reset the password.

I've posted this solution several times but here goes. Try setting up the convergence through the menu by accessing the convergence setup menu. If this fails to work you have a bad digital convergence box and need a tech to replace it. About $60 to $100 fix.
