I have a Duet WFW9150 that I think is balanced, but still vibrates pretty hard. I've checked it with a level and it looks good. I can not rock the until with my hands, but when it spins it shakes pretty hard. Is this "just the way it works", or do I need to be more precise with how it is balanced. If I need to balance it better, any suggestions?

At Lowes you can purchase foam rubber pads 4"X5" pack of two for $3.50. If walking forward and after cecking level and washer pads are tight, place half of one pad under each of the two front feet. Place the sticky side against washer feet. Solved my problem.

SOURCE: Whirlpool Duet washer is off balance.

My wife and I just purchased the Whirlpool 9400 series washer and dryer. We loved the pair, the installers came in and set them up ran them rather quickly and showed us the features and left. We put our first load into the washer, I will add, it was a rather large load, but nothing bigger than what the washing machine would handle. Started the washer up and walked away. About 30 minutes later we walk back into the laundry room to see and hear the washer rocking the pedastle door right out of the pedastle and then started to walk itself about 12 inches from the wall. This was very dangerous to us as we have a 14mth old. We immediatly called the store who sent another installer over. He again checked it for levelness and said that this is a known issue and that we should consider buying the cabrio or taking the washer and dryer off the pedastles.

So, to solve this issue, I'm sure you are all waiting. Infact, the washer was level, however, and this is what I found to be key, Lift the washing machine off the front legs, raise them up about a 1/4" higher than the back legs, this will make the washer uneven from front to back, but the other key is to make sure that the nut on the washer leg is all the way up and tight against the washer. In my user manual it said use a 17mm open end wrench to lock the nut against the washer, but my nut was a 14mm.

Again, make the front of the washer a little higher than the back and make sure all the nuts that are on the washer legs are tight against the washer or pedastle.

My washer went from the house ********, to the thing that doesn't make any noise at all.

My Whirlpool Duet wfw9150 ww 01Not spin after it drain?? it beep sound with Door lock and Wash light on

First, check to be sure the drain filter is clear. Also, pull the bottom of the door boot aside and look down in there to be sure an article of clothing didn't get in there.

Vibation in the front tires, tires are balanced

if you have had the tires recently check for balance ,on a SPIN balancer, that would eliminate a belt wheel, because you would see that on a spin balancer, and tire balance. But don't forget to check tire pressure too.
find a place where traffic won't run over you and from a dead start get your speed up to 5mph,then 10mph,then 15 mph, then 20mph,
what you are looking for here is the steering wheel to start rocking back and fourth that would tell you a tire steel belt has shifted or separated.
but if your **** is what rocks back and fourth then its a back wheel or tire causing it.if no rocking appears then you need to check for loose steering parts, the passenger side ball joint first.

In the final rinse spin my washer makes a horrible sound like metal hitting metal. It does this with all washes. Could it be permanently off balance?

Hi, check leveling of washer, with spirit level, after leveling, put both hands on washer, and try to rock it, side to side, front to back, there shouldn't be any play, (movements) it's possible that you have a broken spring, you will have to open washer to check, can you? if not let mechanic check. good luck.

Washer Tub Balance

A "professional" does not really balance the tub of a front-loader, they balance the washer. You can do this as well... there are 4 feet, just get a level and move feet up or down to get the machine leveled. Check the horizontal level and then the vertical level. Not too hard unless the feet, legs, are rusted shut in which case you can attempt to shim it up. The unit should not rock back and forth at all in any direction when it it leveled. Front loaders will vibrate, sometimes a lot, until they reach the full RPM of the spin, this is normal.

Walking during the spin cycle

Is your floor level, first thing. Okay, the rear 2 legs are not adjustable so leave it. The front 2 legs should be screwed up (ie the machine should be at the lowest level in front) and there are check nuts to tighten inside the body of the machine. Check the machine it it rocks by using your hand against it. Adjust accordingly, this is if your floor is not too good. You shd not hv any problem. If the rocking persists check inside machine, behind after getting he plug off wall, maybe shockabsorbers hv come off, springs?.....

and rate me please if helped.............
