Connect dvd player element tv

Yes if the set has a set of audio/video jacks(a rear or side input) and that would be cheaper than fixing the player in the set.

You tv used lamp XL-2400 or also known as F93087500. It is very common for this bulb to fail and have the exact symptom you are experiencing. I cant count how many times I have seen it.. Replace the lamp with either the exact Sony or an OEM and you will be back in business..
Good Luck!!

Picture & sound go on & off every sec, red light blinks 5 times

helloFive blinks - AKB circuit (automatic kine bias), the timer/standby indicator blinks for about 30 seconds then goes to the self-diagnosis function. Something is wrong with the video. Check video out, Q705, 732, 761 and other components on the C board, also check Q218, 219, 220 on the A board. In addition, unit could be in IK blanking, try turning up screen slightly.

TV won't "talk" with satellite cable

Try to see if you have 5volts for your EEPROM. If the voltage is normal try to replace your EEPROM or try to reprogram it. Your EEPROM is corrupted so that's why it will not store data.

Playstation 3 hook up

If there is no picture on the TV screen: Back to top
  • Check that the input mode of the TV is appropriate for the connector in use on the PLAYSTATION®3 computer entertainment system.
  • There may be a problem with the cable in use. Try using another cable that is compatible with the PLAYSTATION®3.
  • If the video output settings on the PLAYSTATION®3 do not match those of the cable or TV in use, there may be no picture. If the screen goes blank, turn off the system.
  • Then, with only the PLAYSTATION®3 and the TV connected, touch the system's power button for more than 5 seconds to turn the system back on. The video output settings will automatically be reset to the standard resolution.
If that does not help try contacting sony at

Picture goes in and out

Yes it sounds very much like it is simply in need of a tuning. Also if you do not feel comfortable repairing yourself, this is a very simple fix that can be done at most any electrical repair shop and usually doesn't cost too much.
