My mom just shipped me a sewing machine that someone gave her (so I don't know the history of this machine). I just plugged it in and the light comes on, but when I press the foot pedal, it just makes noise adn the needle doesn't move. Any suggestions on what to try next?! As if it isn't terribly obvious - this is my first go at sewing! Thank you!

its a heavy duty machine, nearest that you can get to a commercial machine. but with it being that old maybe worth about 100 to 150 if it sews good.

1-800-331-3164 is the number for customer service. Call them and tell them your situation. I am sure they will have the manual you need.
