I have a Samsung WF448AAP/XAA washer. I have had it for a year + and have never cleaned the filter on the bottom of the machine. Tech support told me to clean the filter. Dumb, I know, I just didn't know. I took the cap off the filter and had a lot of water come out. I cleaned the filter out and started it again and it eventually had the same warning, to clean the fillter. I removed the filter a second time and a crazy amount of water drained out. The filter was clean but somehow it is not draining. Can someone help. Thanks

There is most likely something stuck in the rubber hose between the drum and the pump, Unfortunately this is not easy to get to as it requires tilting the machine back and climbing underneath to remove the hose and check it. Make sure you disconnect the power before doing this.

SOURCE: Samsung WF448AAP chimed and read to check filter.

I would believe that the water pump has given out. If it is going thru the spin cycle after you drain the tub of water it is almost certainly the pump.

Samsung Washer model WF448AAP/XAA fills up with water but will not start cycle

That could be the lid switch is open or not engaging.

Washer begins filling in short bursts for a few seconds and then stops and does nothing.

The unit has probably not drained and sensors are telling it not to add water. On the front of the machine is a door near the bottom that you remove and you can see the filter cap behind that door. If you remove that you can clean the filter. However, you will get lots of water all over the floor. So be ready with a vacuum cleaner that can handle water.

I have a WF448AAP/XAA washer and is leaking from the bottom, what it be?

Could be the bottom seal of the drum, a leaky hose or the pump that discharges the water out of the drum during rinse cycle. If it seems to leak while filling and/ or operating my bet would be the drum seal.

WILL NOT DRAIN

Check the drain pump and drain filter. It is on a small compartment on the front bottom of the washer.

You need to reinsert the door seal back onto the door frame and replace the spring clamp back on. The spring is fairly heavy duty and it will require some muscle to get it back on. Good luck
