Hi, I read these boards a lot... very helpful.
Monitor has black screen, and the power light blinks very very rapidly. I connected a good working monitor up to the pc, and it works fine... not the computer. I pulled the power cable from the monitor, and replaced it with the one from the PWS.. the PWS works fine, sooo cable not bad.
I read somewhere this rapid blinking light was indicative of the monitor being in sleep mode. So I hooked up a good monitor, went into power management settings, and its set to "always on".
OS is Win XP Home SP2.
How do I get the monitor out of sleep mode?
Thanks,
Craig
I'm not sure if this is the solution, but something happened. I plugged in the monitor one last time before I was going to throw it out. I plugged in the power but left the VGA cable unplugged in hopes that I could get into the menu screen of the monitor itself. Well no amount of button pushing helped (but I did do it) but after about 20 minutes I came back to it and it was on. So I am really not sure if it was some button pushing or just a default for being plugged in (power) and no input (VGA). Now I'm off to apply the new driver.
Push and hold the power button... then hit the settings button on the monitor and goto power>sleep mode

I have the same problem L70N is black on image with blinking light.
If in sleep mpde how do I get it back?
when my computer goes to sleep mode anything that was on my screen is gone, thats how it is supposed to work. the light on the bottom is green indicating is still reading everything from the computer, but when you move the mouse to get your computer out of sleep mode i dont get anything on the screen. i have to turn off, and turn on the monitor about 20 plus times to get the monitor to stay on. very frustrating when you have to get things done in a hurry.
Same problem!! My problem is sort of all encompasing with you yours, heres the basic facts of my monitor problem.
L70N- Problem started (i think) once I first hit the SLEEP key on my keyboard to shut off quickly. Problems began small, have gradually grown to extreme frustration.
I would have a black screen but green light was on. When i turned the monitor off (or the computer) and right back on the screen would instantly flash to the normal picture but go right away to black. Would constantly press on and off button on monitor to get it to work. Gradually it would take longer and longer. Replaced all cables, cpu and monitor power set to always on. Its taken me once 7 hours to get it working, I actually couldn't turn in a paper for my class but the professor said he had never heard this excuse and I guess atleast thought it was new and gave me a shot to email it to him. Obviously I wasn't kidding though.
This week monitor has begun to rapidly flash the on/off power light, I just leave it and eventually once its solid I try to get it on. Since that has happened, it now reverts to some random resolution and I have to always change it to what I want before I can use it.
Only way I can get it working is by letting it sit for an extended time without anything and when I reset the monitor power it works fine, I have to just reset the settings. I am determined to find an answer for this today, hopefully if I do I will post a way to fix it!
