Can i use the HTC EVO 4G mobile on Reliance CDMA network in India and can it be unlocked for the use for the above network and how to do it. Will the other application of this phone will be adversly affected if i use it in India on Reliance CDMA network. Pls adv. Thx n Brgds kb

You can't flash a CDMA phone(HTC EVO 4G LTE on Sprint(CDMA network) to a GSM network(Straight talk which is on T-Mobile's network(GSM network) the hardware is not interchangeable. A GSM SIM card is not the same as a 4G LTE SIM card(UUID) they store different data. GSM SIM hold your carrier account information that authorizes you to use the network while a UUID only hold data that is relevant to you accessing the 4G LTE part of the network the remainder of your carrier data is stored on the phone hardware.

Either you have to flash the mobile or get a unlock code you have to take it to the service center, because to flash and get unlock code (both) the mobile has to be connected to the computer with a cable.

Yes, It can be "unlocked" and you can make it work on Reliance CDMA network. I just got my phone unlocked and using it on Reliance Network. Go with a reputed dealer who could unlock it; don't try doing it by yourself. I got it done from a guy who was located in Delhi via remote access.
