I have a carlink app on my sprint evo to start my car using the automatic starter. it's asking for a SIM id & passcode (4 digits). I don't know what that is or where to get it. Can someone please help me on where to look or search?

depends on your country and provider you need to delete and re ask the question.

generally you call your provider and look up sim and or ime number under settings and about and read those numbers to your service provider and they activate the device on your account

The EVO 4G is a CDMA phone. It is not unlocked like a phone that runs on a SIM card (like AT&T or T-Mobile). It can really only be used with Sprint (probably Virgin & Boost, maybe Verizon eventually), but is completely incompatible with any SIM card or GSM provider (like AT&T, T-Mobile, etc).
