Epson's ink uses a dift technology so far better result you need to check what brand of glossy or photo paper you can use. You can purchase an epson photo or glossy paper for best results.

Your printer would work best using the list below:

Paper Types

Supports a variety of Epson plain and photo papers. Supports plain, bond, air mail, Epson Premium Bright White, Glossy Photo Paper, Premium Glossy Photo Paper, Premium Semigloss Paper, Premium Luster Paper, ColorLife paper, Matte Paper Heavyweight, Double-sided Matte, Inkjet Transparencies, Self-adhesive Sheets, Photo Quality Ink Jet Paper, Greeting Cards, High Quality Banner paper; labels; envelopes, Iron-on Transfers and Photo Stickers; Printable CD-R/DVD-R; Panoramic 8.3" x 23.4" Photo Paper

Your printer may need you to replace the "matt black ink" with "gloss black ink".

I have a Epson pro large format 9600, I print on canvas, I have use Photo black since I have it, but never getting a saturation ressult. I have been counsil by Epson to use Matt black rather than Phot

"Photo black" is designed specifically for glossy photo paper. Matte black is for non-glossy paper, including plain paper. Matte black will print darker on non-glossy paper than photo black does.

The difference in choosing the paper type will have an impact on how head squirts ink onto the media. For Epson printers, the best choice to fit the color is plain paper.However, to the maximum dpi (best photo or photo rpm), plain paper does not support.This can be overcome by adjusting the color management of the program that we use.Or convert to bitmap all objects (such as Corel Draw), or also in print as bitmap option.

Just put first not glossy paper at the top of glossy paper to start printing.

Epson Photo PX710W Unable to print on photo glossy paper. Always a paper jam message. Will print fine on ordinary paper. (Will print 6x4 size on upper tray). Help!! Geraint.

Im having the same problem, will print on normal paper but when I try to print onto Glossy paper it comes up with paper jam,or paper not loaded properly is anyone else hjaving this problem? Please help!!

Glossy A4 paper will not feed. Is it too heavy?

Actually, if printer is new, printer can feed up to 350 grm. But if pick up rubber at paper feeder mechanics had distort/loose thickness, it can't. Try to use 210 gsm glossy paper. Or, if you wish to use 280 gsm, pull down paper while printer grab paper.

Problem with paper feeder. Replace paper feeder or replace just pick up rubber at paper feeder mechanics. You can add thickness of rubber by adding black double tape (flexible) (about 1mm).

Epson C120/ Stops at Perforated line

the sensors cant see paper on the perforated part/side.
same goes for transparencies, the printer can't see it
