When I turn my Gigaworks s750 on, the green LED on the subwoofer comes on, but, the audio control pod stays off. None of the leds come on.
It was working perfectly all the time until I pressed the standby/power button and then all the red LEDs went dead. Omly the green LED on the subwoofer stayed on. I checked the wiring connections and it seems to be correct.
It may be that your led (the one that dosn't come on) may be dead, this will stop functions. these controllers are very cheaply made, even worse if you have the 7.1 surround sound p7800!

It is a fully integrated system that is powered from the sub which contains the power board, the amplifier and heat sink, plus the processor. you could run one speaker using the onboard sound card.
It looks like you have posted this before. Unfortunately, I don't know what you have tried so I may be repeating some of your earlier troubleshooting.
The subwoofer needs its own power supply to function properly. if it isn't getting enough power, the sub will not work at all.
On the back of the unit, you should see a green LED when the power is turned on. Is this light on all of the time of does it fade / flicker? This would indicate the power supply is going bad and you need to replace it.
Replace elco C61 (68uF/450V) ; it is empty or almost empty.
Also remove the dark-brown glue carefully. The glue turns from light to dark brown by heat and becomes conductive (some Mohms) www.tvman.nl
I had an extra one but I sold it. According to creative labs they do not sell any replacement parts for the speaker systems. The best suggestion that I can give is to check craigslist and ebay for the control pods.
You can see about getting a new control pod from ebay or craigslist but the problem is more likely inside the subwoofer. Below I have pasted a link to a forum thread about fixing the Gigaworks S750 systems. There is not much information there about control pod problems but at least the people on the thread will help as much as they can. If you are not familiar with electronics then some of the people on the forum thread can help if you are willing to ship the subwoofer box to them.
i had the same problem, apperantly creative made an error making the hardware for the subwoofer, and put in an mos-fet with to little resistance, i called creative and gave them the serial number behind the subwoofer and they sent me a new one that hasnt acted up yet.
Double check the connections, if the connection for the control pod is good then something is wrong inside. I would say most likely thing would be a problem on the power supply inside the subwoofer box.
same problem as above please help
