Sounds like the TV is going into the "protect mode", usually means there is a failure present and it's shutting down to ward off any serious damage to the electronics. The status light will usually blink a error code along with this symptom, call a service center and let them know how many times the light is blinking in a continious pattern and that will help them to diagnos your TV problem. It has you Posted as a projection TV and Not DLP, if Fan to Lamp stops running set will shut off to protect Lamp,I had a DLP that would play sometimes 30 mins then shut off drove me crazy trying to firgure it out and it turn out to be Fan would stop running I replaced Fan TV working fine . When you remove back engage toggler switch to up position put a piece of tape on it to hold it is a safty switch ,then turn tv on watch to see if all fans are running also if when tv trys to come on is there a spark coming from Ballast Board if so your new Lamp is defective it does happen if not your ballast board maybe Bad it is what turns on Lamp.If all fans are running Ballast Board.
sounds like dust collected on the internal parts which after enough time can cause it to stop working. either have tv repair specialists replace the mother board, or replace tv
Does the set make any sounds. DOes the front green led light or flash when you try to turn it on.. if not then it could be as simple as a fuse, if it does flash then it can be many problems
INtermitant problems as the are called usally mean bad solder connections...the joints between electronic components. this set when it has a problem shuts down. This is safty cuircits. It could be a connector. when the set shuts down. it locks out for a period of time.. DO you have to uplug it to reset it? IS there any sounds. Without know more i would guess its high voltage.
