Delete wireless connections and reboot, insure you do not have the wired ehternet cable also installed, and insure that wireless switch is off as well for now. when system reboots, turn on the wireless switch and see if the program for IP is corrected.

Acer Aspire 5733 Wireless connection lost

Check the wireless router and high-speed modem.

If the two are not powered on, or if the Ethernet cable connected the two is not completely inserted into both connection ports, you are unable to access the Internet on the Acer Aspire One laptop computer.

Activate the wireless Internet connection on the laptop computer.

Right-click the wireless icon on the desktop, then choose "Enable" from the pop-up menu.

Without activating the wireless receiver on the Acer Aspire One, the laptop is unable to detect any wireless network.

Select the appropriate network you wish to connect to.

Your computer may be attempting to connect to a different Internet connection, preventing you from access the network you desire. Right-click the wireless icon, select "Search for available wireless networks," then choose the network you want to access.

Restart the computer.

The system may have booted and failed to detect the wireless receiver. Restarting the computer corrects this issue.

hope this helps

I'm having problem connecting to the wirless internet on dell lataqitude e5500. The wireless is on but im unable to connect to any wirlesss networks? Can this problem be solved?

If you are using a firewall disable it there is a wireless toggle switch on the side of your laptop. It slides back and forth to turn your wireless card on and off. It has a little wireless symbol next to it, and you should NOT see red. If you see red showing, it means that the wireless adapter is turned off. Slide the adapter to the ON position, and then try to repair your wireless connection. Hope this helps

Hi,
what is the wireless status in system tray? is it local or local and internet.
1. first check if it works fine with wire conection or not.
2.if it fine with cable then issue is with wireless. probably issue with Wireless security key.
3. go to available wireless networks and select the net work, if it is asking for wireless key please enter that. if you donot remember that perform router reset.that takes care of it.

Inability to connect to Internet

The easiest solution would be to use an ethernet connection. A second problem is probably on most cable modems you can either use a USB connection OR an ethernet connection you cannoot use both at the same time.
