My Sony BRAVIA KDL-52W4100 52 in. HDTV LCD TV is experiencing screen malfunction. When turned on the screen will show dark spots and odd lines, which also affects the color and timing. But after 15-20 minutes it clears up, do you know what may be causing this malfunction, my Sony BRAVIA KDL-52W4100 52 in. HDTV LCD TV isn't even a year of purchase yet.

Also I have a Sony Bravia and it clicks while it is on as well. I read that forum and some people said to disconnect the cable box for 10 sec. and then some said it was the heat from the summer.. i don't know.. I just turned my tv off and then back on and it stoped. I read this is happening with all kinds of TVs....

While holding down the UP arrow key, press the power button. The TV will turn off and back on and reset to factory default settings. Hope this helps

we have the same exact tv and it is not even a year old. we are told that it is the display panel and it is a well known problem with this tv. we were also told that there is a shortage of these parts. they had 283 on order, but only received 35. you need to call sony and tell them that you have this problem. they should warranty this for you even if your tv is 3 months past the warranty period. since this is a well known problem with this tv, keep on them.

In most cases is the screen is covered with vertical lines all the way accross the screen then the T-Con module is at fault. The t-con board is replaceable without having to replace the entire LCD panel which would usually make it cheaper than replacing the TV. The part number I come up with is 1-857-213-11.
