FYI Oster Toaster Oven: about 18 months ago after careful consideration we purchased a counter top toaster oven for the RV from WalMart. I have a 20+ year old Oster Kitchen Center and found easy access to repair parts a couple of years ago, very pleased.
Last trip out in the RV the timer knob stripped out after what I would describe as a couple of months of light use. Google'd the model in search of a replacement knob only to find many others had "been there, done that". The model is obsolete and no service parts are available.
The Oster customer service rep seemed finished at this point and asked if there was anything else she could do for me. I asked what I, a long time Oster customer, should do with the useless oven. After repeating the question rephrased several different ways she put me on hold.
She returned several minutes later to inform me that as a "one time" courtesy Oster would replace our out of warranty oven with a current model. The replacement unit would have no warranty or support from Oster.
She supplied the model number and gave us an Order #. Looking up the model number and checking reviews I have very low expectations for the replacement. Most comment as to the poor quality and reliability of this current model.
A perfect example of a manufacturer who once produced a quality produce but now sells cheap imported disposable products.
YMMV

Need manual and cookware

The Use and Care Manual for the Hamilton Beach 31197 Countertop Oven with Convection can be found online here:

http://useandcares.hamiltonbeach.com/files/840156300.pdf

Any cookware you have that you are able to use in your regular oven can be used in the Countertop Oven providing it fits. You may need to purchase some smallersized ovenware from a kitchenware store.

Look for these pan sizes:

6 - cup muffin pan
2 - 8 x 4-inch (20 x 10 cm) loaf pans
9 x 5-inch (23 x 13 cm) loaf pans
2 - 8-inch (20 cm) round or square baking pans
Most 1 to 11⁄2 quart (1 to 11⁄2 L) casserole dishes

Trust this is helpful; thank you for using FixYa!

Where can I purchase a new bread crumb tray (goes in the bottom) for Euro Pro toaster oven model TO251? What is the coast? Don

From my research from several sources, you can't. Best bet is to buy a baking sheet of 12" x 12" size and use it as the crumb tray. These inexpensive ovens are throw away items, hence, no part supplies.

This toaster no longer toasts food evenly, it takes twice as long, it appears that the broiling coil element may not be heating...Can these elements be replaced?

the elements can be replace, BUT, it is just not cost effective. you can buy a new toaster for less the the cost of repair.

How to change the lower element on a delonghi AD 699 toaster oven?

Hello,

  • Preheat ovens only when necessary. With conventional ovens, keep the preheating time to a minimum. Unless you're baking breads or pastries, you may not need to preheat the oven at all.
  • Food cooks more quickly and efficiently in ovens when air can circulate freely. Don't lay foils on racks. If possible, stagger pans on upper and lower racks to improve air flow.
  • Use glass or ceramic pans in ovens. You can turn down the temperature about 25°F and cook foods just as quickly.
  • Do not open the oven door often to preview the food. Each time you open the door the oven temperature drops by 25°F. Watch the clock or use a timer instead.
  • Full-size ovens are not very efficient for cooking small- to medium-sized meals, it generally pays to use toaster ovens or microwave ovens.
  • Check to be sure the oven door gasket is tight. Adjust or replace gaskets as required.
  • If you have a self-cleaning oven, consider using the self-cleaning feature immediately after regular baking when the oven is still hot. Less energy will be required to reach the cleaning temperature. Try not to use the self-cleaning feature too often.
  • Keep range-top burners and reflectors clean; they will reflect the heat better and save energy.
  • Match the size of the pan to the heating element; more heat will get to the pan and less will be lost to the surrounding air. A 6-inch pan on a 8-inch burner will waste over 40% of the energy.
  • On electric stove-tops, use only flat-bottomed pans that make full contact with the element. A warped or rounded pan will waste most of the heat.
  • When cooking with a gas range-top burner, use moderate flame settings to conserve gas. Also make sure the pilot light is burning efficiently, with a blue flame. A yellowish flame indicates an adjustment is needed because the gas is burning inefficiently.
  • Whenever possible, use a pressure cooker. By cooking food at a higher temperature and pressure, cooking time is reduced dramatically and energy use is cut by 50-75%.

  • Hope this work ..........
