My Hoover vhv680c tumble dryer is working but does not get hot I have changed the element but still no good

There are other possibilities. Dryers have one or more temperature sensors that will open circuit the heater element if they get too hot. If the sensor goes bad you get no heat. These are usually located near the end of the heater element. Find the wiring diagram and you will see them. With the dryer unplugged you should be able to measure almost no resistance across their terminals. Another possibillity is in the timer. The contacts inside of it could be bad. This is likely if you get heat on some cycles and not others.

Dryer will heat when put on 70 minute cycle but will not heat total time. if you put it on 20 minute cycle will not heat at all.

Hi, Some dryers have a cooling cycle that lasts for 20 minutes to cool the drum and its contents so you don't burn yourself when getting clothes out.

alot of machine have a max drying time of 120 minutes 20 of that will be for cooling so 100 mins hot!

the cooling cycle is usually indicated near the end of the dial in a different colour to that of the hot cycle.

Hope this helps.

My kenmore gas dryer model 65761 stopped heating up, any suggestions?

I would suggest checking the hot surface ignitor. This is what lights the burner to give the machine the heat. It is usually located at the lower rear right side near the burner tube and glows red hot when the dryer is turned on. It usually has two white wires going to a plugg and held in by a couple of screws fairly simple to replace once you get to it. Probably have to take the front of the dryer off to get to it.

Dryer smells hot and back panel near heating

your duct is clogged or the limit snapstat is not working. turn dryer on and go outside to the duct vent , their should be a minimum temp of 10 degrees, and a maximum 15 degrees outside. also sometimes just cleaning the lint from inside the dryer, can cause this smell for no more than 5 minutes. thanks karl

The dryer runs but no heat

Check for a blown thermal fuse or a faulty heating element. Both components should be located inside the rear of the dryer. The thermal fuse is about an inch long and is usually attached to or near the exhaust duct. Both components can be tested using a multimeter or ohmmeter. Check for continuity. A lack of continuity will indicate a faulty component. Really sorry for your trouble and I hope this helped. Best wishes.

I just bought a new heating element for a 70 series dryer and it is still not getting hot. What is another possible solution

test the hot side of the heater element, also check that the circuit breaker has been turned all the way off then all the way back on. If this does not fix it or you have tried it let me know and I can tell you what to check next.

Clothes dryer not getting hot enough to dry in a good time frame

I have the same issue with my DLG3788W dryer. It seem to have only one setting for heat, rather than multiple heat settings. What can I do or do I have to call someone to repair this.
