Dropped camera on wood floor, now it beeps when I press on but nothing happens. Telescopic lens does not close. Cannot see images or take pics.

  • Kihenja Jun 23, 2008

Dropped the camera, now when I power on the lens comes out and the date setting are not in sync. When you start to set the date it powers off & the lens remains out. To return the lens I put it on the charger then power it on & off quickly.

    Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Mark

Both of those are "lens errors". That's what happens when your lens has had damage done to it. The only way to fix it is to send it into repairs. Call repairs at 800-706-2534 option 2 and they can tell you where to send it.

Dropped camera!

Electronics goods are only for safe use. Not for droping, if it happens then go to purchase new one.
If it was in India, there was an option for repairing. Otherwise through it away.

Frozen lens and shutter

Press the power button on and hold it down while extending and twisting the telescopic zoom lens. It might fix your problem. In any case it could not make it worse Good luck!
