Hi 2bob_watch, I'm having some problems with my AP2750, where did youget the firmware update? I've been searching in google, 3com website, etc but found nothing.... Thank you very much
Try the manufaturer website first, but if it is Senau ECB -xxxx models, tough luck, they write the worst firmware, lots of it has java errors and is unusable.

Don't let the switch name fool you, HP calls it the HP 1910. HP 1910 48G Switch Fixed Port Web Managed Ethernet Switches HP JE009A ABA
Technical Notes:
"The HP 1910-48G Switch (JE009A) was formerly sold as the 3Com Baseline Plus 2952 (3CRBSG5293) and may ship with this product labeling.SFP ports and copper ports work simultaneously, independent of each other to give a total of 52 Gigabit-capable ports."
Hi, I think you may have to buy a new unit.It is essential that a firmware update completes uninterrupted as it is modifying the unit's operating system. This applies to anything, not just routers. If the update does not compelete then the operating system is not complete and the unit will not work any more.
3com used to be good things back in the old days. But this hardware is probably self destructing in some way (the problem is widespread, the manufacturer claims it is an old product and gives no solution). Do NOT buy network products from 3com (HP today). Correct me if I am wrong..
There are actually 3 models of the WL-542. Go to this page and select "All downloads" in the section matching your model. You will find the exact model number on a sticker on the side or under your WL-542.
i would try updating the firmware on your router and access point. I had the same problem and did this to both and they are now working fine. Let me know how it goes.
Are you able to login to the router? If you can reset the router to factory defaults..If you can't login to the router...Is there an external reset button on the router you could try to reset. with a paperclip? Otherwise, I had this happen on a linksys router/switch. New router time. You should just return it where you purchased the product. There was already something seemingly going wrong if it was rebooting. 3 weeks? just return it. don't even mention the firmware update.
Here is the site info for 3com:

OfficeConnect - Firmware upgrade fails with incorrect user interface image
Problem: Incorrect user interface image
Problem:
Firmware upgrade fails
Problem: Error when upgrading firmware
Problem: Incorrect firmware
Problem: Wrong firmware
Fact: Firmware
Fact: Download
Fact: Update
Fact: Upgrade
Cause: The downloaded .exe has not been extracted
Fix:
The downloaded .exe needs to be extracted by double clicking on it.
When performing the firmware update use the extracted files that were obtained from the "exe" file.
e.g You will obtain a "bin" or "dlf" type of file which is the firmware required for your upgrade.
Let me know what happens.
Good Luck,
Tim
