I have a Canadian eBay account and I am trying to set up a sellers account but it won't let me. How do I set up a sellers account?

Depending on whether or not the seller uses eBay checkout, the steps to complete payment are different. If your seller does not use eBay checkout, they will send you an invoice or other payment instructions to help you complete your purchase.

To pay for an item when the seller uses eBay checkout:

1. Link your PayPal and eBay accounts, if you haven't already done so.

2. After you've won an item, click the Pay Now button. You can find this button in the listing, in the Purchase History section of My eBay, and in the confirmation email that you receive from us.

3. Check your shipping address. If any information is incorrect, click the Change shipping address link to update it. (The seller may require a credit card billing address registered with PayPal, sometimes called a confirmed address.)

4. Confirm the order details, including shipping and taxes. Click the Continue button. (If you have questions about the total cost, click the Request total from seller link.)

5. Select PayPal as the payment method.

6. Enter your PayPal log in information. If you don't already have a PayPal account, you can sign up.

7. Make sure that your shipping details, payment method, and order details are correct.

8. Click the Confirm Your Payment button to complete your purchase.


To link your PayPal and eBay accounts:

1. Click My eBay at the top of most eBay pages.

2. Click the Account tab.

3. Click the "PayPal Account" link on the left side of the page.

4. Click the Link My PayPal Account button.

5. You'll be asked to log into PayPal to finish linking your accounts.

If you have reached your buying limit, you will need to add your credit card in your eBay account. It's like creating a seller account on eBay. That way, eBay will be able to verify your identity by charign your account with the authorization $1 charge but don't worry, it will be refunded back to your card after 7-10 days. It's just to check if your card has sufficient amount. Also, contact your card issuer or bank first to check if eBay is allowed to charge your card.

Once you placed your card on eBay as your payment method on file, your buying limit will increase. You can also do the ID verify but there's a $5.00 charge to it and you won't get it back.

Make sure you've not only changed your address in your account settings with eBay, but also in PayPal (if you pay that way). Also, when paying with PayPal be sure to attach message if there is any confusion in the address. You might want to also communicate with seller, explaining situation and prove that you are who you say you are by having him/her communicate with you via your e-mail address, but be clear that you are not "going outside of eBay to avoid any charges or skirt the rules." Most eBay sellers are reasonable to deal with, so do all you can before the seller ships the item. As a fallback solution, you might choose to open a new eBay account and prevent history repeating itself in the future.

mcdevito75 here, Hello Deirdre, the first thing to do is to let the ebay seller you won these items from know your haveing a problem with any money owed due to a non-verify number, this way the seller who you won the items from knows you intend to pay for them. You can contact the seller whom you won the items from by clicking on my ebay at the top of any ebay page then with the drop down menu click on won, once at the page of items you won, next to the item you won click the option on the far right sde of the item title, in the drop down menu click on contact seller. Once you have contacted the seller with your problem, then call ebay at 1-800-701-3229 you can also call paypal at 1-877-672-9725 or 1-402-935-7733 or 1-888-221-1161 and see about fixing any problems with your account.

To sell an item on eBay, you must first create an eBay account by clicking the register link on the upper left side of the eBay homepage.

Once you have an account, you can now setup a Seller Account. Just follow these steps:

1. Click the "Site Map" link found at the bottom part of most eBay pages.
2. On the middle column of the Site Map page, scroll down and click the "Place or Update Credit Card on File" link under "My Selling Account".
3. Click the "create seller account" link on the next page. You may be asked to sign in.
4. You'll be directed to the page where to enter your credit card details. If you don't wish to enter your credit card information, just click on the "cancel" link beside the "Continue" button.
5. You'll be directed to the page where you can choose what Automatic Payment Method to use.

with regard to this, it's either the seller closed his/her account or the seller violated some eBay policy that's why the item was removed. if you already paid this item, i suggest that you need to contact eBay and file for the item not receive dispute so that you can get your moneyback.
