go to "wireless & networks > bluetooth setting" on your HTC Desire. Set the "Device Name" & tick "Make Device Discoverable". now scanning for your HTC Desire from the other handset.
Hi, a blue tooth device would allow you to hear and speak through it so it should solve your problem.
the only problem you may have is if the water damage has causes damage to bluetooth inside the phone, try choosing bluetooth on your phone and see if you can still do a search and connect with another phone, if you can still connect to another phone to say send music or picture via bluetooth then this would suggest your bluetooth is fine and using a bluetooth head set will solve your problem and allow you to use your phone again.
if you cant connect to another phone via bluetooth then the chances are it wont pick up the bluetooth head set and you would be no better off
let me know how you get on or if you need further assistance ok
please rate this solution as i have a whole page of unrated posts, thanks
do you have a usb connection...(switch cell to storage/bluetooth/data in connection)...go to my computer click on the cell (copy/paste or click and drag)
when transferring media from lg connect to pc via usb cable switch connection setting on cell to sd card (you have bluetooth and data) data is the settings for the cell softwares
I have the env Touch and the Jabra Halo. Initially, I had a problem pairing the two, then I realized that I was not following the directions properly. The manual shows two sections for pairing ("first time pairing" and "later pairing"). I was following the instructions for the former when I should have been following the latter. I also failed to notice that the BT indicator was flashing blue and not solid blue, as it needs to be, for pairing mode. So, if you haven't already done so, follow the instructions for "later pairing" here. Make sure that you see the SOLID blue light on the BT indicator on the headset when you try to pair.
