SOURCE: i have a 94 grand prix with a dei remote start not
It sounds like there's no power going to the starter wire. Try and locate the brain under the dash for the remote start. It should be black and about twice the size of a deck of cards with a few harnesses hanging out of it. Usually it is zip-tied to a wire harness or bracket to keep it secure and from falling down onto your feet. There should be several wires much larger than the others, and you should see fuseholders on the 2 red ones. Usually one of the fuses is used solely for the starter. Check both fuses on these larger wires. Should be 30 amp green ones if I remember right. Also, while you have the brain accessible, write down the model number on the brain itself to help you in the future. Most DEI remotes can be used for almost any DEI/Viper/Your Valet system, so it's really hard to tell what you have just by looking at the remote. If the fuses are fine, you may need to take it to a shop (anyone that sells Viper and such). If you have a chip in your ignition key, it may also be the security bypass module that gets installed with the remote start. You will only have this bypass module if you have the little chip in your ignition key. Hope this helps, good luck.
